Both Orthodox Jews and Christians faithful to the Scriptures and traditions believe that engaging in homosexual acts is sinful.

Being tempted to engage in acts, or having a tendency towards homosexuality is not considered sinful. It is just something that must be resisted, in the same way a "straight" person must strive to be chaste and not give in to illicit sexual acts like premarital sex, adultery, incest, etc.

The tendency towards homosexuality is considered to be disordered, but a sin is only committed when one actually engages in the sexual act, views gay porn, visits gay bars (thereby tempting themselves and others) or deliberately entertains lustful thoughts.

No - it is specifically mentioned as sin in both the Old (Jews) and the New (Gentile) Testaments.
