Are conservatives more moral than liberals?

What is important is what informs their morals. For example, there are liberals who have high moral standards, such as Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman. Their faith informs their morals.

There are conservatives whose morals are based on some "other" sense of morality, nothing bedrock. These have fallen into moral decay, such as Jack Abramhoff.

It boils down to this: Where do your morals come from? Are your morals "moral?" I've read statements from some liberals that talk about "values." But those values don't seem to have value. They are based on fluffy concepts that have more in common with pop culture, than any standards.

I don't think that liberals are less moral. I just think they approach morals in a different way. Their approach is more that everyone has their own set of morals...
I think what makes them seem less moral is because the groups that jump on the liberal bandwagon seem to be immoral to the mainstream..
Anyone can also say "Why are conservatives such hipocrits?" They go to church and then steal or rip people off and take their livelyhood (Enron)
I don't think that politcs or political parties have ANYTHING to do with morals. They both sling mud back and forth and it just is a big mess all the way around.

My intestine reaction is that it has to do with conservatives desirous to get the government out of our faces. Liberals and consdervatives alike the two have a powerful thought of precise and incorrect or they don't. all of us understand what's morally sturdy or morally undesirable. the government can not legislate morality, yet liberals seem to think of it is achieved. The upshot is, conservatives have self assurance that if somebody is doing some thing immoral, they'll at last be extra effective at screwing up their very own lives than the government would be in screwing up their lives for them.

Liberals have supported and worked poltically to block US intervention in every genocide since (and including) nazi germany. They have an ocean of blood on their hands.

If you look carefully at their behavior, it has this as the common thread running through everything they do.

For example, wanting us to leave Iraq when things are going so well there. They hope that our leaving will destabilize the country and lead to massive killing. That is the point. The ONLY point to their wanting us to leave.

Look at how they are working essentially as a propaganda machine for Hezbollah in the current unprovoked war Lebanon declared on Israel. Their position basically boils down to Israel should sit back and allow Hezbollah to exterminate them with impunity. What they really want is to prevent Israel from destroying Hezbollah because they know that Iran is only a few months away from supplying them with nuclear weapons. This advances a major liberal cause that goes all the way back to the nazis (nazism was called national SOCIALISM for a reason)....the extermination of the jews.

This is why liberals demonize Israel in the current conflict and cover up the fact that Israel was attacked first and basically for no reason, Hezbollah continues to attack Israel from each of its positions until that position is destroyed, Hezbollah holds civilians hostage at these sites and shoots them as they try to flee (meanwhile, Israel does everything it can to warn people to leave the area so they can move in and destroy the rockets). To listen to the liberals, Israel attacked Lebanon for kicks and is simply on a murder spree of civilians.

What the liberals are doing is sick and evil. There is no comparison with conservatives (who basically back every issue involving normalcy and morality). Liberals aren't just less moral than conservatives. They are monsters.

No-just more judgmental. Most conservatives that I've come in contact with want to morally police the entire world. They refuse to accept that the world has become more tolerant towards Homosexuals, Blacks, Latinos, Jews, Hispanics and Women. It's not the good 'ole boy world that they once ruled.

Morality doesn't depend on political persuasion. A Liberal can be just as moral or immoral as a Conservative. It's the person who defines his or her morality, not the politic.

Conservatives just like to pretend they have morals. It makes their "immoral" behavior more fun.

With the discussion of who's more moral I would ask for a definition of morals. Since this will vary from person to person and from culture to culture. In answering your question I used the generally accepted Christian version in the U.S.

As a general rule that seems to be true because they usually get their morality from the Bible instead of the latest social guru. However, this outward form of morality won't do them or anyone else any good when it comes time for the judgment because God looks on the heart.

It's like the Pharisees of Jesus day who were scrupulous to follow all of the commands of God according to their own interpretations but whom Jesus called hypocrites and white washed tombs because they looked good on the outside but inwardly they were full of corruption and dead men's bones.

Politically or morally? Politically I think both are pretty hypocritical Conservatives are against abortion but not against gun controll. Liberals are pro choice but save the whales:/

No, although we all believe differently we all have the best interests of the US in mind. Neither is more or less moral than the other.
