Serious respectful question, based on a Christian friend of mine who emailed me last week telling me he had suicidal thoughts. His pastor and another from this church came over; he was sent to a hospital where he met with a counselor and through their talks he realized the church wasn't good for him.

One of the things that they did was tell him to get rid of rock and roll, he said to me "they made me throw it away".

So my question, respectfully, how can this church know God doesn't approve of Rock and Roll? If we don't have any empirical evidence of God, don't know his height or weight, how do we know it doesn't please God?

I think one can live an authentic life as a believer in Jesus. I'm not attacking Jesus or Christians. I really am looking for serious answers, not the usual crap of jim darwin needs jesus or he goes to hell or god is imaginary.

Is this a legitimate thing for a Church to do, or is it Cult like, to tell members not to have Rock and Roll.

I know its silly to even ask that… people are people.. but when you see this in IRAN!

“The shop where he works abuts a vast mural depicting a female suicide bomber with a baby in her arms, accompanied by the words I love motherhood, but I love martyrdom more.”

Ya freedom of religion is a good thing, but common… I love martyrdom? Does anyone doubt these brains washed Middle East people will happily blow up the world?

And they ask why we don’t want them enriching uranium.

"Some people say it takes a village to raise a child. The only thing a village can raise is an idiot. It takes a home and a family to raise a child." I read this in a very interesting book and to me it makes a lot of sense. Thanks but no thanks Hillary Clinton.

How do you deal with the issues of the pain of dealing with the death of someone that was killed at a very young age that had everything to live for, One case a man mere days from proposing marriage, another case, a man 2 years married with a 4 month old baby. And people call it Gods will? How can it be Gods will to treat the widow and the orphan to such neverending pain?

Parents or Government? Seriously I say God gave me these children, I carried them within my body, I am responsible for feeding, raising, and if I choose educating my children. I am also responsible for teaching them how to live as well as teaching them about our faith. What say you?

I don't mean answering through birds, bees, bulls and all that jazz. I want to hear directly like when I ask a Yahoo question and get immediate Yahoo answers. Don't talk about the lord working in mysterious ways or that I am missing his/her/its voice in the world around me.

I am just wondering how come some many people in these forums containing questions about jehovah's witnesses. They are all so confused about and stuck on the 144 000 that go to heaven and belive that out of the 6 million plus of us are trying for that spot in heaven. I would of given up A LONG LONG TIME AGO if that was the case. Most of jehovahs witnesses are hoping for the time of armegedon and for our earthly hope of everlasting life and for everyone that has died to be resurected Here on earth. The 144000 are chosen to rule as kings over us in heaven. Psalms 37:9-11 Those hoping in jehovah are the onse that will possess the earth and they will find their exquistie delight in the abundace of peace.

i was told by a christian that there were no dinasaurs,or any of that other stuff, but there was without a doubt more evidence found about the dinasaurs then jesus,i believe in jesus, but i think its hillarious that all the evidence and museums are full of lies,i believe we were born to evolve by god as was everything before us,but to say there were never any dinasaurs is crazy, because god didnt create them, its crazy to me,people say the bibles words are proof of jesus and god, well to me bones and artifacts are also evidence i mean very solid evidence,so are we all crazy for believing in dinasaurs lol

In a Christian relationship, what do you think should be the physical boundaries in terms of "how far is ok"?

Have you noticed how many anti or non christian people come on here wanting explanations on Christianity?
I wonder, if they are so against Christianity, why all the interest? To me that proves they are searching for something that's missing inside them. So obvious isn't it??
If I hated something as much as they seem to hate Christianity, I wouldn't care what it's people believed nor would I keep asking them about it.
