IN THE BEGINNING

First consider some scientific estimates or guesses. Not all scientists are going to agree. The Universe or heavens 20 billion years old. The Earth 4.6 billion years old. The Moon 200 to 300 million years younger than the Earth. Dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago. The Ice Age 2.5 million years ago. Oldest evidence of flesh man 7000 to 14000 years old.

Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Flesh man can only speculate as to when this beginning was. God is eternal without beginning or end.

(CB) created, perfection implied.

(CB) the heavens and the earth. With Hebrew Particle “eth” before each, emphasizing the Article “the”, and thus distinguishing both from Gen.2:1. “Heavens” in Hebrew always in plural.

Gen.2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

(CB) the heavens and the earth = “which are now” (II Pet.3:7). Hence without Hebrew Particle “eth”.

II Pet.3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

To the Hebrew scholar it is very apparent that Gen.1:1 is “the world that then was” and Gen.2:1 “which are now” or the one in which we now live. Three heaven and earth ages, same heavens and earth with some modifications.

Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

was H1961 hayah (haw-yaw') A primitive root (compare H1933); to exist, that is, be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary): - beacon, X altogether, be (-come, accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), continue, do, faint, fall, + follow, happen, X have, last, pertain, quit (one-) self, require, X use.

(CB) The Revisers ill-advisedly decided that “all such words, now printed in italics, as are plainly implied in the Hebrew, and necessary in English, be printed in common type.” One of the consequences of this decision is that the verb “to be” is not distinguished from the verb “to become”, so that the lessons conveyed by the (AV) “was” and “was” in Gen.1:2,3,4,9,10,11,12, are lost.

The same Hebrew word “hayah” is translated “became” in Gen.2:7.

without form H8414 tohu (to'-hoo) From an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is, desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially in vain: - confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

void H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.

And the earth became desolate, and empty; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. This sentence the front half of Gen.1:2 marks the end of the first earth age or “the world that then was”, to which belongs all fossils and remains.

Jer.4:22-27 For My people is foolish, they have not known Me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. 27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

without form H8414 tohu (to'-hoo) From an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is, desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially in vain: - confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

void H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.

Note parts of Jer.4:22-27 which help explain studies and theories: no light or the Ice Age, all the hills moved lightly or the break-up of Gondwana Land, no man floating around in a ark, and all the cities thereof were broken down or the destruction of the city Atlantis.

Notice, yet will I not make a full end.

Isa.45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

vain H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.

God made this planet Earth not in ruin and emptiness but to be inhabited.

Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This sentence the back half of Gen.1:2 marks the beginning of the second earth age or “which are now” the earth age we now live in.

Before there was flesh man, all were in spiritual bodies. Job, you, me, and all the sons of God shouted for joy! Earth was a jewel of perfection.

Job 38:1-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me. 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

all H3605 kol kol (kole, kole) From H3634; properly the whole; hence all, any or every (in the singular only, but often in a plural sense): - (in) all (manner, [ye]), altogether, any (manner), enough, every (one, place, thing), howsoever, as many as, [no-] thing, ought, whatsoever, (the) whole, whoso (-ever).

H3634 kalal (kaw-lal') A primitive root; to complete: - (make) perfect.

(FOS) the sons of God, This is the Hebrew idiomatic expression for angels. In every place where the expression occurs, angelic beings are to be understood.

One thing God cannot create is true love. True love must generate within a being to be true love, and that’s what God desires is our love. Satan and 1/3 of God’s children rebelled. Time means nothing to our Father and desires that no one should perish. Rather than destroy 1/3 of His children, God destroyed that Earth age. Now in this Earth age we are born innocent through the womb and can decide to love or hate God. God then righteously and legally defeated Satan or death through Jesus Christ. It is God’s plan and your decision.

The word dinosaur is quite new (around 1880).

In the Bible they are called dragons, Leviathan, Behemoth.

God created them when He made all the other animals. They were also taken on the ark (probably babies).

But the world is much different since the flood. Before there was a ice shield over our atmosphere that keep out harmful rays from the sun, the air pressure was twice what it is now, and there was twice as much oxygen in the air (known from sample of air trapped in Amber). People and animals lived hundreds of years in that healthy environment. Reptiles do not stop growing. They grow all their lives. After hundreds of years how big do you think a Hella Monster would be?

There are imprints in rock (in Texas for one place of many) where there are footprints of dinosaurs and humans together.

First of all, not all Christians think the world is only 6000 years old. That was just a theory by some Medieval bishop. But those who DO believe it generally say that they coexisted with people. They usually like to bring up the mud track that turned to rock in Texas, showing a human following a dinosaur's tracks. I suppose he was either tracking (hunting?) or going to the same general destination at a later time the same day.

Hi, I'm not a christian basher, but looking at the bible as a non-ficticious book is impossible. Yes there are some good teachings that everyone could learn from. But when it comes down to creation and the way its told in the bible, its flawed before it starts particularly with the fact that its written by christians. Christianity only began after after jesus was on the earth (thats upholding the theory that he did infact exist), as jesus was a jew, he couldn't follow himself as a religion. Whats the creation story like in the Jewish faith, is it the same? I doubt it.

And yes I do know that my argument is flawed somewhat as I',m not familiar with the jewish faith.

But in answer to the question directly , they can't. Genesis lists the animals that were created,. . . . . denver the last dinosaur isn't there.

Dinosaurs are only a myth created by Steven Speilberg to sell and enormous amount of Juraisic Park stuff, or dinosaurs were sent by God to live and die and create oil for his people so we could f##k up the world and create all manner of huge cars which will guzzle the oil and create global warming, its all their in the bible if you bother to read it: dd: 21-22: and God did say let there be big motherf**king ugly beasts which will die and turn to oil so my future people can exploit it and be warmed. Seriously its all there

Christians cant account for dinosaurs, there is no way, as dinosuars have been proved to have existed over 6o million years ago, Christians simply cannot account for dinosuars, they cant, this is another point at which Christian beliefs are shown to be false and is another point in favour of the Atheists

LOL Yet another person who thinks ALL Christians think the earth is young (I think it's time to start generalizing about these people, see how they like it).

To answer your question. The earth is not 6000 yrs old, God guided earth's creation, and species creation, etc. Dinosaurs included. Not really too much to explain.

I have another Christian/bible problem,

If Adam and Eve were the only people in the garden of eden and they had two sons Kane and Able how did they manage to leave the Garden of eden and go out in to a world filled with gods people?

1 In the begining the dinosaur said 'let there be God', and there was God.
2 And the dinosaur said to himself "hmmmm he looks pretty cool"

3 Then God accidently killed all the dinosaurs while trying to kill a bat.

Are there not bats, even to this day.
Thats all the evidence you need mister.
now repent

First of all, why is the world only 6000 years old?
Secondly, why is carbon dating considered to be acurate?
Thirdly, if you laid on the footpath for thousands of years, you would be dust, not a fossil. Fossils imply immediate covering. The flood would account for this.

And when you answer these questions, we can talk.

:)
