I asked a question earlier about the progression of technology (notice I skipped the word evolution) and I was surprised that among Christian answers there was a discrepancy between God being the author of time and bringing us these technologies and it being free will and the follies of man. So WHO is driving the bus here, God or Free will?

I'm doing a paper on the societal impacts that medically-recognized vampires have on america, and I need some more information. So, hypothetically, how would your relationship change if you found out your best friend/girlfriend/ boyfriend was a vampire?

My God, Santa, wrote in his book that we have to love Reindeers every day. If we don't we are sinners who are an abomination in the eyes of Holy Santa.

2 questions:
1) have you kissed a reindeer today?
2) why does this (even in my eyes) sound just as stupid as when other prejudice people condemn pre-marital sex (for example) based on an also old book, written by people who died long ago, based on the so-called Laws of another imaginary figure?

Interfaith is gathering of different religions of the world. Considering the influence of religion or faith to mankind, it is highly expected that through interfaith, religious leaders will come up with the solution to peace and prosperity among their members if not for the whole mankind.

Why is it the most vicious, intolerant bastards are always the ones who act high and mighty and tell people they are going to hell?

Is it that they have guilty conscience?

Do they really believe in this imaginary hell and think 'well, if I'm going these other people who are beneath me are coming with me'?

Or are they just a bunch of fakes who think they can scare people into joining their fascist crusade against humanity?

I just don't understand why so many Christians deny evolution. It is clearly, demonstrably plausible and likely. And with a contextual (rather than literal) understanding of Scripture, it is also reasonable and acceptable to believe without limiting God in any way.

It is just plain silly to believe a literal interpretation of Genesis. Seven days? A day is simply an amount of time relative to the orbits of the earth and sun. They, according to literalists, didn't exist until a few days into the Creation Week. What?

Literalism and fundamentalist ideas like 7-day creationism are so incredulous as to make Christians look backwards and ridiculous.

We have nothing to fear from genuine science; it can only teach us more about creation.

This is a serious question. I am a creationist, and firm in my belief, so this isn't a "this VS. that" type question. I just want to know what, say, the top 5 pieces of evidence are for your position.

they are always saying that Allah is great and powerful, and everything he wills is that way it is and all that.

Since Israel is clearly whipping them, and the Muslims haven't had a power peaceful country were people can live in peace in say over 1000 years. Doesn't that kind of mean Allah wants them "wiped from the earth"!

I know, I know.. its a Muslim thing I wouldn't understand.

Then why didn’t he bring any of this stuff out sooner? I bet Jesus could have really used a PDA to arrange his busy miracle working, leper touching, prostitute saving schedule. So why didn’t he bring out this stuff earlier and what is he holding out from us now?

Like my saviour Jesus, I forgive Mr. Gibson for his drunken behaviour and anti-semetic slurs. He is just another child of Jesus and has gone astray, like so many lost now found "sheep". The disease of alcoholism has gripped him and I pray for his recovery from the "Passion of Booze". Without you Jesus, Mel is powerless to control his drinking of alcohol. I will suggest, in prayer, that he attend Alcoholics Anonymous!

Mel's depiction of the suffering of Jesus on the cross was another reminder of how important it is for man to repent his sins and lead a Godly life. Jesus is coming soon! Sinners repent, and secure your place in heaven Now!

I Pray:

Oh Jesus, spare me the suffering in this painful now worsening worldly exisistance. Take me home now! Please Jesus, take me HOME...NOW!!

BaaaaaRRRRRRFFFFF !!!

One of my Muslim friend told me that the first ever concept of TIME TRAVEL can be seen in Hadith.

He told me a story that Mohammed was taken to the Jerusalem and then to seventh heaven, he spent a lot of time there (I don’t remember how long).

But when he returned to Makkah his bed was still warm, and the water from a jug he had overturned as he left, still spilling onto the floor.

Now I don’t care if Mohammed had fabricated this story. Or

He was just dreaming about it. Or

He was taken to the alien's mother ship, instead of seventh heaven.

I just want to know from Muslim friends if this story is available in hadith?

Give me a link, I searched a lot but I didn’t get this warm bed and water spilling things.

Thanks

ok, people ask a question involving religion, and everyone answers right. but why do i get emails from people that believe in god saying what i said is wrong, and that i am damned to hell? i am not mean about my answers, but i dont belive. and it is not like i write them and critize there beliefs. i guess my question is has this happened to you?? or why do you do it??

who wrote them, and if it wasn't jesus or his disiples then is it just opinion? if it is to help you understand the bible then wouldn't that mean it was added by someone other than the diciples or jesus? so if your your footnote tells you that hell is a firery bad place but the actual translation was "a grave" then isn't whoever wrote it possibly teaching people the wrong way to read the bible?

E.g. abortions, homosexuality, cloning and other genetic research, sex outside of marriage ect. If you don't agree with it fine but don't try to make it law that every one needs to believe the same thing as you and your imagery friend as you are trying to with abortions and civil partnerships.

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Why would Jesus say this prior to being crucified? It doesn't have any meaning at that point until he does get crucified correct?

Why is it that Modern Christians celebrate a Holiday that was condemned by the Early Christians? Jesus could not have been born on the 25th as it would go agaist Luke 2:8. Also Christmas was evolved from Pagan Holidays (saturnalia and others). Knowing this, how is it right to teach kids false stories? How can Christians be trusted if their MAIN holiday revolves around lies?

I feel the closest to my Savior when I have received Him in the Sacrifice of the Altar or when I am at Eucharistic Adoration. I never leave either feeling empty or alone. Regardless of your religious beliefs or lack of them when do YOU feel most spiritual? No wrong answers I am actually curious.
Peace Be With You,
