It is more crazy to listen to one individual and get this cranked up about it.

One more instance of lumping masses of people together. No matter what, individuals are going to believe what they WANT to believe. That does not mean anyone else agrees.

well There are lots of animals that are not mentioned by name, not only dinosaurs and they are here on earth.. Dino and human foot prints are found together and by that we see that man and dino were here at the same time. There existance is not a problem with christianity, your friend just doesn't know.
Jurassic Park portrays dinos as fast and vicious and it is also a fiction movie. We do not know how they were and so much fiction is written about them that it is hard to find what is real. If they were like elephants then man could have easily hunted them. But, were you there?? Was I there?? NO. So we really don't know except that they existed.
The whole idea of carbon dating that they were millions and billions of years old is where we have a dispute.. Carbon dating is not accurate...Now that is a very debatable subject and very complicated, but it just isn't accurate and they have no way of dating anything at millions, much less billions of years.. That is pure fantasy..
God made Adam a full grown man, so at creation Adam had the appearamce of age.. The earth at creation had the appearance of age.. Knowing that you dispute the Bible, but even saying that it is possible. HOW will you measure a created thing's age when it is created as a working model???
SO If creation is true then there is no way that you can measure it's age correctly...

The Bible speaks of things relevant to Mankind's relationship with God. It is not a science book. It is not a history book. It is not an outline of the future.

The problem is based on ignorance and stems from a narrow-minded, fundamentalistic, literal, self-interpretation of the Bible--if it is not in the Bible, I am not going to believe it!

There are many things that the Bible simply does not address, including dinosaurs, life on other planets, the Chupacabras (LOL).

The Bible does not even mention the good, ole USA, much less reveal what is going to happen in the 21st. Century. People need to stop trying to use the Bible as a "crystal ball."

Dinosaurs are real. Probably occured in Genesis 6 where all flesh became corrupt by the Nephilim - go and do your research dude - Fallen angels manipulated the DNA of earth's inhabitants - including man, animal and everything. The result? Giants! Read Genesis 6. This was the real reason behind the flood.

I know alot of people will laugh at this, but that's ok.I couldn't give a rats butt.

A fossil, by definition, is something that was buried very quickly - ie - before it had a chance to decay. The flood would explain this perfectly.

You'd be crazy to believe in the bible, even though it exists. Dinosaurs are slightly more believable than christians, despite evidence that they also exist, although I think they are heading up an evolutionary back alley and will, like all other "true" religions based on mythological super creatures, eventually disappear with only a few artifacts of their existence remaining in museums.

If a book by itself was "proof" of somethings existence, we'd be surrounded with faeries and wizards. Maybe that's why christians and other theists object to Harry Potter, in case it starts a rival religion that makes more sense?

I am a Christian and I believe that there are dinosaurs. The Bible says nothing against Dinosaurs. In Job 40:15-19(sorry another verse, but you asked the questions and I am answer it!) "15Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. 16What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! 17His tail sways like a cedar the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. 18His bones are tubes of bronze. His limbs like rods of iron." (There is more to it's description, but I wouldn't bother writing it because this is all I need to show you) well, I believe that God here is describing the long-neck Dinosaur, but we are not sure! And even if God didn't mention dinosaurs that doesn't mean it exist. God hasn't mentioned the bush-baby, but I know it exist because I had one. I know that dinosaurs do exsit, and the Bible doesn't say it doesn't!

People follow 'doctrine' like it is literal. That is their prerogative.

You need to let it go. You obviously have more brains. Time is relative, and if God create everything in 6 days, they were just very long in our terms.

The truth is difficult to discern, not worth dying for (especially if you have no proof).

The bible was written by people, to record life's lessons. An intelligent person can glean lots of great character building advice from the bible.

God created everything, he is smarter than us, he created the patterns of the spark of live, the evolution of that life into the forms of our unknown ancestors, whom the bible refers to as Adam and Eve - simply because no one knew how it started when the bible was written! So, now that we know more, it is time to embrace the new knowledge.

I have Shark Teeth from the beach that date back more than 20 million years. Evolution is Gods greatest creation! Imagine being able to dictate how things will develop, standing back and letting it happen, observing, with a gentle nudge now and then.

Well that's pretty silly or ignorant. Sure there were dinosaurs, we see too much evidence to dispute that-only a fool would. But it is also a little silly to believe in Jesus and not the Bible. The Bible says that the universe is about 6000 years old. There is no room in the Bible for evolution and millions or billions of years. There is really no room in science for it either-evolution and long geologic ages are speculation not science-you need to learn the different. Science is good-"speculation" that is called science is a fraud.

To conduct a meaningful life, each human being has to get for himself a proper education from the wise Teachers. Nobody can conduct the lives of others.
Most of us have no precise criteria to look for the wise Teachers. Because the criteria must be set by the Teachers Themselves. Now most people are argueing about the reality of the world like the blind men quarelling about the shape of an elephant.
In the time about few hundred years after Buddha, people in most part of Asia found that He is the wisest Teacher. In Europe, the same thing occured about a period of time after Christ. In the Middle East, Muhammad. They are (not were) the wisest Teachers.
Any understanding men who really spend time to read carefully the Dhamapada, the New Testament, the Quran...would admit that no other men can produce such absolutely marvelous Writings.
Today, people everywhere on earth start seeing that Baha'u'llah is playing the role of the wisest Teacher for our time. Please read His Holy Books to get the clear knowledge about God, about the world, about man, and about the salvation Plan of God from eternity to eternity. When we get true knowledge, we will cease our childish quarelling to start living in peace, in mutual respect and true love.

There was a period that there were dinosaurs. I'm an Evangelical Christian. I have wondered about when God had the dinos here. Was it before he created man in the 6 days, or was it before that? The bible states a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day. meaning God's timing is different then ours.

There are 3 earth ages (II Pet.3:5-7), same earth but different ages. We are now in the 2nd earth age. Between Gen.1:1 and Gen.1:2 is a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between these 2 verses is Satan’s rebellion (Rev.12:3-4) and “his tail” drew 1/3 of God’s children. Between these 2 verses also belongs all fossils and remains, such as Dinosaurs.

In Gen.1:2 we have the of the end of the 1st earth age and the beginning of the 2nd. For clarity Gen.1:2 needs to be divided (see below).

(A) Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

(B) Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In (A) Gen.1:2 the first occurrence of the word “was” has been corrupted and is “became”. It reads “And the earth became without form, and void”. The end of the 1st earth age.

In (B) Gen.1:2 we have the beginning of 2nd earth age, the one we live in now. Man did not exist in flesh till this earth age.

Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is also a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is; a global flood (not Noah’s which was a local flood), the destruction of Atlantis, the breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.

Time means nothing to our Father. He is very patient and loves His children. Instead of destroying Satan and 1/3 of His children, He destroyed that first earth age. Now in this 2nd earth age we all are born innocent in the flesh. Father came in the flesh Himself, Jesus Christ, and paid the price for all. Father defeated Satin, that is death, legally. So now His children have a decision, to choose life or to choose death. It’s your decision. Choose life!!
