Haven't been reading the newspaper lately, I take it.

What I don't understand is the report that his blood alcohol was 0.12% when the California limit is 0.08%. This does not seem to be an excessive mount of alcohol and certainly not enough to explain the extreme behaviour.
And no, I'm not on Mel Gibson's side, but I've heard quite a few Jews recently bad-mouthing Arabs the same way and some of those are in much more influential positions in the world stage than an overpaid Aussie actor. Maybe he's an easier target because he really doesn't matter at the end of the day.

Let me get this straight, the Jews are not focused on Hamaas, Al Quada and Hezbollah but that bad bad Mel??? It isnt what someone says under the influence but what characterizes his life and in the long run... if he gets help and changes I respect him
I guess the news would rather wine and gripe about Mel Gibson than talk about Hezbola and Israel The real reason.... come closer....psssttt!!!, its NOT the Jews who are annoyed, Mel Gibson annoys the liberal media
The media deep down believes in some kind of weird genetic bonage,, his father said antisemitic things decades ago so ergo Mel has genetic propensity to hate crimes in their view...
its sad to see the media sink into ever deeper muck
and whle missles fly in Israel and Lebenon the media is more and more impotent to discuss issues of substance and has to hide behind childish accusations Maybe the media needs their mouths washed out with soap???

He was a little drunk and he said that the Jews are responsible for all of the wars in the world. In his very next breath, he asked the cop if they were a jew.
Sadly, Mr Gibson is correct. Though, had he said "religion is the cause of all the worlds wars", he would have been even more correct.

He directed the movie - Passion of the Christ, which annoyed the jews. Because the jews only believe in the first 5 books of the bible and they only accept Moses as their one and only prophet. They don't believe in other prophets like jesus christ or prophet muhammed. the bible consists of 66 books where the first 5 books are the books of Law for the jewish people. that's the reason why they are making a big hoo-ha...

Other than a drunken, rambling diatribe accusing Jews of causing all the wars in the world? Not much.
Well, he also vandalized a pay phone in the police station, but I don't think that much bothered anyone, except maybe the officers on duty.

i do no longer understand with reference to the Jewish human beings yet I considered him otherwise after those comments. i'm an hassle-free Christian female and located those comments thoroughly disgusting and fully uncalled for. I certainly have not seen any of his movies because of fact that and have no choose to...all of sudden he's no longer almost as captivating to me as he became in the previous the two.

He said the jews caused all the wars in the word....Mel must listen to too much CNN..funded by arab oil....his father as a "holocaust denier." so there is something from his past that influenced him.

He was spouting off under the influence. He needs to stay on the wagon. Was his true colors showing? Hmm. How disappointing. He apologized and that's good. He really needs to watch his p's and q's now because now he's really going to be under the microscope.
I also agree with whirlingmerc ahead of me.

Can you go to yahoo news? Or maybe cnn.com? or msnbc.com? If you do , I'm sure you'll see very quickly what he said. Why would you want to get the info 3rd or 5th hand?

Who knows and who cares...this shouldn't be newsworthy...it's only newsworthy because Gibson is somewhat well known...Seems to me that his privacy is more important than what he said. PEACE!
