You are right in saying that every individual needs to study the Bible for themselves and build their own personal relationship with God. However, you say we cannot help someone else understand the Bible. Are you implying that someone who has gained knowledge of the scriptures should not try to help someone else build their relationship with God? Why, then, are Christians commanded to spread the good news? (Matthew 28:19, 20) Does not this scripture instruct Christians to "teach" other people how to serve God? Please take a look at Act 8:26 - 39. Are we to assume after reading this account that a person should not seek help in understanding the Bible? All of us need help to understand the Bible, and I totally agree that first and foremost we do need God's help and His holy spirit. However, this is not and implication that we cannot also learn from others who are seeking to serve God faithfully. It would be a sign of pride in us to think that we do not need help.

What is the public opinion with regards to sex offenders merely "attending" church. What if it is someone you have heard something about or is presumed to be an offender. And at what point do you check the credentials of every visitor who comes in the door....background checks at the altar or the offering plate?

Religion is not fact or legitimate history so why must people state it as such? I'm not trying to say that anyone's religion is wrong ,but it shouldn't tried to be applied to things that are concrete as where theological beliefs and deities are abstract froms brought about by the imagination to make us feel comfort in our lives. I believe there is a "God" but I don't think God should be used to explain everything...i.e.Hurricane Katrina...Somethings are simple science and don't need any devine reasoning.

Aside from my views that the ACLU is mentally ill (for many more reasons than included in this post), could somebody give me a good reason why the ACLU would fight to allow a woman to wear a burka in her driver's license photo (ID - and a governmental establishment) on the grounds of freedom of religion...while at the same time forcing the display of the Ten Commandments to be removed from a courthouse because of this claim of a "seperation of church and state"? I'm curious to hear any good reasons for this.

This is a totaly legit question. People that want to refer to God as a 'HE' must admit that God has male genitelia as apposed to female genitelia . Using the answer God is masculine.is a BS answer. Masculine has nothing to do with 'He'. Ive met some masculine females, and yes they were definatly females.(as apposed to shemales). And there are 'he's' that are feminime. Christians must have detailed answers to claim that God is a 'he' as apposed to a 'she'

This is heaven. I know how spirituals realms work and this is no different. This is what could be considered a consensus environment in which if the more we understand(resonate) each other our mental abilities grow. That is why we have shared experience and group rituals. We manipulate the energy here by creative intent. This place is a set pattern of frequencies in which our brain interprets like how a prism works. A non consensus environment is one where you are the only inhabitor, meaning your thoughts instantly create reality(you experience this many times each night) The chemicals in our brain are reactions to this environment, not what makes us. Atheists already know this is heaven, they want to experience this place and have fun. That is the point. We had to forget where we came from in order to experience this place. They don't want to leave yet. We create heavens every day with our imagination and can inhabit them. Why do you want to leave. God is math, shapes, us, them. ;)

Imagine you’ve just been launched into space, you look back and watch the Earth through a rush of clouds turn into a beautiful blue green and white coloured ball. Seems so peaceful, how could such an inspiring serene picture be home to so many violent selfish greedy human residents.

The hours pass and Earth turns into an ever reducing multi-coloured little marble, and all around is darkness pitted with twinkling white stars. You strain your eyes and watch Earth disappear into a barely visible flicker of light, and still all around is just darkness pitted with twinkling stars.

You fall asleep and when you awaken everything looks the same. Darkness scattered with distant stars. You’re lost, you have no idea where Earth is, up down, left right, Earth has gone for good. Everything is just darkness and stars in every direction you look.

Now ask yourself, do you really believe that violent life on some planet that you’ve no idea where it is, has the answer to everything around you?

Has anyone ever known any instances (personal experience) that they feel that reincarnation had taken place? Whether it be a human, pet, or whatever? I lost my very beloved uncle two years ago and it tore my heart out. Ever since that time, he has appeared to nearly every woman in my family, especially me and told them constantly that he is coming back. In one dream, he quoted to me something that I was not sure what it meant.."A little while, a moment of rest upon the wind, and another woman shall bear me.." I had no clue what it meant at all until I researched it and found it to be a quote from the poet Khalil Gibran from "The Prophet"..Within a month of this dream, I found I was pregnant, which came as a HUGE surprise to me..and recently I found out it was a boy child I am carrying. He is due 11/1, which is bizarre since my uncle's birthday was 1/11. I am not claiming for sure it is really my uncle, but I am not saying it isn't. Please be respectful..any personal experience or idea?

I would like a consensus of opinion on this violation I received:

Question: Is being bi or gay really that wrong?

Details of Violation: If you are in fact a Christian, it means you believe in the teachings of the Bible. The Bible speaks strongly against the lifestyle you have chosen. Life is all about choices. If you choose a perverted life, you cannot be a true Christian. If you choose to be a Christian, you cannot live a perverted lifestyle. This is what the Bible says. It is your choice.

Reason of Violation:Insulting Other Participants

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems to me the "insulted" individual should post his complaint to God for having caused the Bible to be written. What do you guys think?

OK, so according to fundies, homosexuality is a sin, right?

Also, all men and women are born sinful, right?

And all members of the clergy are men or women, right?

Doesn't that mean that all clergies are made up of nothing but sinners? And even if homosexuals are sinners, that doesn't make them any worse off, in the eyes of God, than all the liars and lusters and prideful sinners who He's already welcomed into the cloth.
