I am not sure if this is a serious question or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. First, I would suggest seeing your doctor about your meds. Second, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one in the same. You should seek Jesus as the Lord of your life. Admit you are helpless without him and that you know you are a sinner. (I know that sounds a little freakish/religious). Then ask Him to come into your heart. You would be amazed at what will happen in your life if you do that.
He can ease all your troubles and give you strength you never knew you had. I know there are a lot of Christian bashers out there, who say it requires you to leave your brain at home if you are going to follow Christ, but actually the opposite is true. The Bible never contradicts itself.
Think of it, forty authors over a period of thousands year and they all tell the same story. The manuscript and historical and archeological evidence is all there. People ask me to prove there is a God, and I can actually give them hard evidence. My question is for them to prove there is no God.
I say all that to say to you, seek God. He is real. There is good news and hope for your life. Just open up your heart and ask God if He really is there. Best of luck.

Hi Patrick.
I'm sorry that you're sick... but it's great you're asking about Jesus! It's true what you say, but I guess you don't understand it at all. Let me explain you a little bit.
First of all, it's great that you recognize you need God in your life. Now, the next step:
Jesus said: "Look, I'm standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I'll come in and we'll eat together" Revelations 3:20
So, Jesus is right there... knocking at your heart's door. What do you have to do? Tell Him you need Him in your life and invite Him to come in! How? Pray! Now, a prayer is just a conversation between you and God. That's all. So, find a room where you can be alone and start talking to him just as you talk to anyone else!
Once you do this, ask Him for the Holy Spirit. He'll give it to you right away (you don't need to experience anything weird to know the Holy Spirit is with you). Ef. 1:13-14 tells us "In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised. This Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we will receive our inheritance."
So, if you've done this prayer... Welcome to God's family!

Are you seeing a counselor? Sounds like it would be a good idea - it might help to also talk to a pastor or religious counselor, but if you are taking meds it's really important that you see a licensed mental health therapist also.
Sometimes religious anxiety goes hand-in-hand with mental/physical anxiety, and religion also comes up a lot in paranoia, schizophrenia, etc.
There's no need to be paranoid that you're not worshipping God right or that you'll go to hell if you don't get the holy spirit or whatever -- God is love, and perfect love casts out fear. Relax, pray, and see a therapist asap.

First off, going to Church isn't going to help and may make it worse. GOD GAVE DOCTOR'S the wisdom to use medication to HELP US.
Secondly, YOU DO NOT need the Holy Spirit, God will give it too you when YOU need it : )) He knows you better than you know yourself.
Thirdly, CALL YOUR DOCTOR and get your medication changed. It doesn't DO ANY GOOD if your not taking it! It also doesn't do any good if its not working. I've been on anti-psychotics for 14 years and I know. My doctor changes mine out on average, every 2 years. They simple STOP working and I move on to something else, or BACK to something that worked years ago and now will work again. Only you and you Doctor can find this out, and then only with time.
Fourthly, AT LEAST YOU "KNOW" YOUR PARANOID, this is more than most know. BIG STEP there, congratulations, SEEK HELP NOW! Even if only OVER the phone!

Jesus died on the cross for you. He died so that you may have his Spirit. he died so that you may have eternal life with Him. Do you believe you need Him? If you do, tell him this and ask him to bring his Spirit into your heart. that's all it takes. We are all sinners and we all need Christ. the first step is admitting this. then next step is discovering more about who God is. You can't follow him if you don't know him. Read the bible because it is the inspired word of God. Find a Church that says it teaches the bible as the inspired word of God. ask lots of questions and don't be discouraged that the people there aren't perfect.
If you are having a problem with your meds, you should speak with your doctor.
But more than physical healing, you need healing in your heart and mind. Christ will do this for you. ask him to and believe in Him, he will not fail you. even when it seems like he isn't there, he is. have faith in this.
to learn more about Jesus, start in the book of John in the bible (not 1 John, 2 John or 3 John. Just John, it's right after Luke). it is the story of his life, death and resurrection and i pray it will be real to you.
God bless
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
-2 Corinthians 4: 7-9

You don't acquire "it". Holy Spirit is a third "person" of the Trinity of God. Seek out a body of true believers and get their help in sorting out the confusion... you need the Real Jesus Christ in your life for only He is Lord and Savior.

Patrick...DON'T buy into the Jesus stuff it's nonsense. You need to coordinate your efforts to get yourself together and relieve youself of the paranoya that grips you. In other words if you're seeing more than one Dr. choose the one that is most suitable for your troubles...gather up your meds and go to him/her and tell him/her your issue(s) with them...I think you've the same trouble(s) my mom went through...multiple Dr's with multiple perscriptions and no one knew what the other was doing...hence problems. I'd check out WWW.UUA.ORG for a belief system that'll be more supportive than the Jesus stuff could ever be...PEACE & FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF!

Clearly, your medications need substantial readjustment if they aren't mitigating your symptoms any better than you describe. Consult with your doctor and/or psychiatrist. Fictional beings, such as Jesus and the holy spirit, are just a part of your delusional process. With proper treatment, they should subside.
