by calling into question some one else's faith? I am agnostic, but I am really curious as to why anyone would want others to share the same world view as anyone else, Christian or Atheist. I think we should all take a step back and examine why we do these things.

How do people even know god is good? I mean this world isn't so good. If god exists couldn't he just be like a toddler with a lot of power just toying with our lives?

I see people say atheist think they are their own gods (in one of my questions for example). A god is a higher power that created you. I do not think I am a higher power than myself, or that I created myself, as this is impossible. Yes, I live by my rules. Christians live by their books rules. Animals live by their rules. So animals by that logic think they are god, and if they think about that stuff, then they made the decision, and the ones that do not live by the bible are going to hell. But all atheists live by their rules, and each person lives a little different, so we all just live our lives not worship ourselves. And why do Christians (some, I know) claim to know what I think I am.

Or are they same?
1) Just about everybody knows the word "Lucifer" as another name for Satan. The word "Lucifer" is found one time in the King James Bible.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

(2) But what about the NIV? The word "Lucifer" is clean, bald-headed gone and now this creature is identified as the "morning star". Lucifer is the "morning star" in the NIV.

How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

Opposite the title page of Darwin’s Origin of Species appears the following quotation:

‘To conclude, therefore, let no man … think or maintain that a man can search too far or be too well studied in the book of God’s word, or in the book of God’s works; divinity or philosophy; but rather let men endeavor an endless progress or proficience in both.’

Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ yet people still join in the festivities when they don't follow Christianity.
I have many colleagues who tell me they don't believe in God, that they want proof of his existence yet when Christmas rolls round, they start planning their parties and buying their presents.

I don't want to ask my colleagues this question because I don't want to insult them.

If this "god" character knows everything I am every going to say or do, then how does freewill come into play?

If my destiny has already been decided, how does freewill affect this?

If he already knows that I am going to hell then what is the point? Why waste the time on it?

To me this does not sound like freewill at all. It sounds like your screwed no matter what you do.

Freewill by definition is basically doing what you want is it not? So how if every action and thought is planned out already, is this freewill?

It sounds to me like all the decisions you make in life are irrelivent no matter what you do or who you worship.
