I know what God has done in my life. I choose to trust him because I've seen for myself that he can be trusted.

You can believe anything you like, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's true. I can believe that there are unicorns on Neptune, but that doesn't make it true. The bottom line is this, either you have good reasons to believe what you beleive or you don't. There are many reasons to believe in a god. The question is are they GOOD reasons? The fact that it comforts you to believe in a god is a reason, but not a good one. It would give me comfort to believe that I had a check from a rich uncle arriving anyday now, but the comfort I feel because of that belief wouldn't make true. Similarly, the fact that I can't imagine a universe without a god is a reason to believe in a god, but again it's not a GOOD reason. The list could go on and on. Unless you can provide a good reason to believe in a god you shouldn't. Some at this point would ask, then how did this all get here? A question however, does not answer the question of whether there is a god or not. Just because I can't explain something doesn't mean I can just make up an answer. There was a time when humans didn't understand the sun, so they assumed it was a god. There was a time when people didn't understand thunder and attributed it to a god. But lo and behold we have come to understand those phenomenon and they are explainable using science and logic. Just because we can't answer a question now doesn't mean that in the future it won't be answered rationally. Even if it's not though we can't just assume anything we do not understand can be answered by inserting a god.

People believe what they are taught. From birth, most people are taught by priests and their families that God exists. This convinces them, without proof, that God exists.
It's like when people believe that the Earth is round. (I don't think the Earth is flat.) We've all accepted the idea. However, none of us have ever seen the Earth from the outside, except through pictures. However, pictures can be modified, so we do not know if the pictures we see are accurate. The Bible is the religious equivalent of the pictures from space, in that it may or may not be inaccurate. The (correct) thinking that the world is round is believed as easily as the concept of God.
As for the other parts of the question, theologists and philosophers have been debating these ideas for centuries without finding an answer. Clearly, I don't know enough to give you a good answer.

I know God is good because he has done many things to prove it to me. I can also feel it in my heart and soul. I used to think the same thing about him playing with lives, and sometimes I still do. But if the world was such a great place, we would never understand love, or compassion, or pain. We would never know what it's like to earn or achieve something great. We would just be used to the way things are. Believe me, I want the perfect life and all, but do I really deserve it? When I really give it thought, I don't think that I do. I am glad that God has given me the life that he has. I go through the hardest things, but at least I can learn to appreciate the outcome.

@ James 1:13 it says, When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death. 16 do not be misled, 17 EVERY good gift and every perfect present is from above, for it comes down from the Father of the [celestial] lioghts, and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow
1 Timothy 2: 3 This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
Satan God's enemy is the one toying with our lives:
Read the first two chapters of Job, you will then understand that Satan is the enemy not God

I believe in God because of His creation and I have His Word and it tells me that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins. His Word tells me that if I would believe and trust in what He done for me then I could recieve eternal life as a free gift. If I reject that free gift the there is a place call hell were all unbeliever go when they die. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I believe in God...No no no, not some guy in a chair with a beard and some holy stone things.... I mean the power and energy that sparked life on this planet - created the universe etc... by virtue of me being alive, I believe there is some force that made it happen. Maybe, I worship the "big bang"...lol, but what started it? I worship the intelligence, energy, force, whatever that started this.

The answer to HOW is by the Holy Ghost.
Ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.

Through Faith, God promises us their will be more for us after death, If we had nothing to look forward to after our death, It would be a sad world for us, By believeing in God we have hope for a new imortal body, free from all the pain and sorrows we might go thru on earth, God intended for this world to be good{perfect] but Adam an Eve disobeyed him and committed the first sin, Satan is alive and even he believes in God, Satan is the one that uses his power to cause all the bad things to happen, but in the end Satan will be defeated

They are pathetic and require someone to hold thier hand all through thier lives. You see them everyday. Leonardo Da Vinci called them "the fillers of privies" and he was spot on.
They can do nothing for themselves. Live utterly dull lives, never rock the boat, have no opinions of thier own and are incapable of doing anything for themselves either.
That is the kind of person that believes in a magic sky-pixie like god.
Pathetic isn't it?

FAITH. The Bible says that faith comes from hearing the word of God........His words are all in His book,..the Bible. This world is now ruled by the spirit of satan because YHVH God The Father allows it to see who really loves Him and will follow Him,..or satan. When The TRUE Christ returns,...God will wipe out all the evil elements on this earth and then we will have true PEACE.
