That's a trick question niceguyjoe. After you die your soul goes either to heaven or hell. It doesn't dillydally in betweeen anywhere so it would be impossible to haunt the places you like while on earth. If you go to heaven because you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and repented from your sins, heaven will be even better than any of the places you liked on earth so you won't be thinking about it at all. Trying to compare heaven to earthly things is like trying to compare apples to baseballs.

Cool. If I'm still alive, we should have a party. My heaven involves a lot of sleeping, so I think I'll end up on a very comfortable cloud when I die.

Sorry to tell you bloke, you will not have any control of were your spirit goes when you die. God owns your spirit whether you like it or not.

The people who die in Christ sleep until judgment.
The people who die without Christ (those who do not beleive the Gospel as it is presented in the Bible) go to Hell until judgment.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:12-15 KJV)

Hebrews 9:26-28

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
