by calling into question some one else's faith? I am agnostic, but I am really curious as to why anyone would want others to share the same world view as anyone else, Christian or Atheist. I think we should all take a step back and examine why we do these things.

If we all held the same exact view this would be one boring hunk of rock we live on. I'm a non-believer and I don't personally care what other people choose to think.. we each get to decide that for ourselves.

There is nothing to gain by knocking someone elses faith in the belief system they choose. If asked I will say why I don't believe the theology but will not take a swipe at the individual who believes in it. Show others respect and most times you will receive it in return..

Christians believe that there are life and death decisions that need to be made. They belive that God has asked them to share this information with other people. However, not all Christians have learned to do that with love, compassion or tolerance. Trying to force or manipulate someone into believing - even something that's true - is never right or justified.

I can tell you why I do it. It is because I believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. And in the Bible this is part of its teachings to us. One being to test the spirits, those that claim to believe in God. Even the demons believe in God as it is written in the Bible. But to get back to your question. I am putting two sets of scripture from the Bible that I believe in and in believing there are certain things that are told to me to do. I gain grace in the eyes of God because I am being obedient to Him.

1 John 4:
1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Matthew 28:
18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I do not force someone to listen to me but I do have opinions and beliefs and this forum is called Religion and Spirituality. So I feel justified in putting my 2 cents worth in here where I think it may help. Or even when it may not.It would be great if everyone did believe in God but He tells us that not all will accept Jesus Christ upfront so I do not have an unrealistic view to turn the whole world into one big happy family. It aint ganna happen. I hope this gives you a point of view that you had not seen yet. Go in peace.

I honestly think that you don't gain a whole lot of anything besides anamosity. I believe it is OK to question someone about their beliefs in order to learn their thoughts and feelings on a matter, but it's not OK to attack their beliefs. Really, you gain by sharing and keeping an open mind.

Unquestioned and unquestioning faith has caused untold misery and destruction in the past, and will continue to do so in the future unless it's challenged. Those who make extraordinary claims should be prepared to back them up with equally extraordinary evidence. Those who want power should be prepared to justify their reasons for wanting it, and should be punished when they take the "end justifies the means" approach.

It is not my place to judge. That is what God is for. As far as wanting others to share my views of Christianity...Its not that I want them to share my views...it is more that I want them to know Jesus. I want people to feel peace, love and forgivness. If people could feel what I feel in my spirit and soul, I know that they would know that Jesus is the way. If Jesus is wrong, then I want to be wrong. I know what it's like to be without God and it isn't where I want to be anymore. I only live in this world, I am not of it. I do not push my views on others. If they can see God through me and ask me, I will be happy to share. God doesn't want us to push him on others, he wants people to come to him on their own. That is why he gave us the power of choice. Jesus is my choice. If you choose another way, that is your choice. All I will do is pray for you.

Some people think that there way of thinking is the best and only way.. We are all individuals..with our own minds..thoughts..likes..dislikes..
I guess people do not truly understand the meaning of being yourself.. They want all to be like them... not happening..
