This isn't one of those trolling posts, where the author tries to infuriate members of a certain religion. I really don't understand.

Why would God create me gay if it was sick and wrong, and I was going to burn in Hell for it? I didn't choose to be gay, I'm just attracted to women and repulsed by men, and I can't do anything to help that.

If I dont choose to worship god the way you want me to? Might as well you stick me up with a knife. Why does God have a choosen people? why should I read a book that is so racist and really meant for his CHOSEN people? Why should I abide by a book that encourages slavery? Where does the dinosaur fit in your creation story? Huh?? Someone give me an answer please!!!!!

For Christians Christ never taught hatred, He taught love and forgiveness. I may not agree with or even understand anothers faith. All I can do is be open to share with another. I feel that the best time to witness is when that person asks or "opens the door" to discussion. I find that if someone starts telling me about their faith without my asking then I am probably going to find an excuse to leave. Don't you feel that if you are living life as Christ did people will come to you to find out why?

I want to "touch" myself, but I come from a religous family and I am afraid to do it. I have a picture of Christ hanging over my bed and my parents are real strict. But I am only human and have needs. Yeah my parents wont know, but how do I get over this guilty streak?

It's my understand that the new Testament is after Jesus died for our sins, and that you don't have to live by the words of the Old Testament anymore, but merely believe that Jesus is your savior in order to get into Heaven. Is this correct?

do you consider the whole of them together? Honestly I have seen so many people say "I coud never be a _____because some ____. When I look at a particular religious faith I consider the best of them and find that overall most are on this side. I was just wondering how you look at it. One cannot judge all humanity by it's "worst" members.

being Jewish and believing our Jewish scriptures-about our promised Messiah -gave me a new start in life-and looking forward to the good and the bad-because i know he is with me to help me even if i get sad-peace to all and pray for me this weekend-as i search for my princess to adore in Jesus eternally-thank you alot-david -and the song bridge over troubled waters comforts me from past hurts and future fears-over come in faith-trustin Jesus!

how many religions have a " god/father figure " and a "chosen one/son figure "
it seems to me that so many religions are speaking of the same thing but with different names ..
not just the figures , but philosophies and teachings , predictions of second comings , past historical events etc
i do wonder if at one point everyone was told the same thing , and due to cultural and language differences , these things got just a little like chinese whispers and changed ever so slightly from person to person ..
it seems everyone really believes in the same thing
what do you think ?

I am wondering if you teach and study only what you believe or if you teach and study where that belief or faith came from? I am a Catholic and our children are taught their faith and the history behind it. We are taught it should not be a blind unreasoning thing that one should continue learning their whole lives. Has anyone else studied where their faith came from as well as why and what they belive? If you don't know your past how can you know your future?Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.

CNN recently announced that an ancient 20-page manuscript dating to 800-1000 AD, was discovered last week, in a bog, in the Irish Midlands.
The director of the National Museum of Ireland said, "This is really a miracle find."
The manuscript was opened at Psalms 83. The Latin text of that Psalm, describes how Arab and Middle Eastern powers form a last-days covenant against the God of Israel and against the Jewish people, in order to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

Personally i think jesus is at the door waiting for gabriel to blow his horn and usher his people home.

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet - A farmer's daughter from Kibungan town who went to work as a maid in the United Arab Emirates in April has been jailed for accidentally sitting on the Koran.

Provincial officials said the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has learned that a Shariah court sentenced Serafina Toyan, 26, to a one-month’s jail term on July 18 and also ordered her deported after serving her sentence.

But in a letter faxed to the provincial capitol here, Toyan said she did not notice the Koran when she sat on a bed to rest, because the Muslim holy book had been covered by a blanket.

She said this angered her employer, Jumaa Jamil Bakket Junaibi, who immediately took her to a police station for investigation.
