This isn't one of those trolling posts, where the author tries to infuriate members of a certain religion. I really don't understand.

Why would God create me gay if it was sick and wrong, and I was going to burn in Hell for it? I didn't choose to be gay, I'm just attracted to women and repulsed by men, and I can't do anything to help that.

I'm actually not Christian, I'm just wondering how it's justified from their point of view.

I am sorry that we have made you feel that way.

God loves you just as much as he loves anybody else. God chooses who gets into heaven, not pat robertson.

Being gay is just being human. we all sin, we all screw up, and we all have instincts to do things that we shouldnt.
Every person below me has lied, or had sexual thoughts. I know I have. Thats all wrong, but God forgave it all even before it happened.
You are forgiven, you wont go to hell. Jesus loves you and he loves your partner. He allowed himself to be nailed up on a cross for you. It wasnt just for straits.

I'll probably catch major flack from a lot of "evangelicals", but I’d be remiss in my beliefs if I didn’t respond. Here's how I see it.
Do you believe in God? Do you believe that Jesus was His only begotten Son? Do you believe that Jesus died for you to have the opportunity of Salvation?
Okay! If you're still with me then the rest is up to you.
Your "being Gay" is your business. I'm called Black, and sometimes African-American, and sometimes names that I can't write on this forum, but the truth is I'm neither Black nor African. I am American, but that means very little when I meet someone face-to-face for the first time. People, especially people who "KNOW THEY'RE RIGHT", judge.
We all do it! It's a survival mechanism. If you don't discriminate you have a high probability of becoming a victim. That's just common sense. What happens though, is the "traditions of man" creep into the social repertoire and the resultant mores are often deemed valid laws, and rules of conduct. Those judgments and discriminations become increasingly specific. Man applies his logic and before long bigotry rears its ugly head. It happens in every human societal system. Even, and some would say especially, the church. If you want to know where the source of that line of thought comes from see Genesis, chapter 3.
What is "the church"? Is it the building? Is it a state of mind? Is it, as quoted in scripture, the fulfillment of Matthew 18:20?
Again, this is how I see it. The state of Christianity in these times is ambiguous. No one can be truly trusted to represent God's Word. Even Jesus warned us to, "Beware of false prophets." He even said how to recognize them; "Ye shall know them by their fruits."
Your assumption that you are going to "burn in Hell", because you are Gay is so wrong on so many levels until it's almost laughable. In fact what I find of more interest than your sexual orientation is your claim that you are "repulsed by men." Really? Do you mean repulsed in general or are you only referring to sexual repulsion? And the "bottom-line is, who you have sex with is nobody's business except you and your partner. And just for those Pharisees who'll bring up child molesters and the like, common sense is common sense.
Try this write a letter to God. Tell Him why you think He's so wrong! Explain to Him what, in your view is the situation and what are the circumstances. Don't leave anything out be explicit and detailed. Tell Him what you think He should do.
Then when you're done put the letter in a drawer and let it sit for a couple of days. While it's sitting keep thinking about what you've already written and if you come up with even more and better ideas after a couple of days, write another letter.
Don't add to the one you've already written write a whole new letter.
Repeat this process until you're satisfied that you've said all you can say on the matter to Him.
When you're sure you're through, gather all you've written and read everything from beginning to end. Then read anyone of the Gospels, (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) of the Bible. I'd recommend the Gospel of St. Matthew and The New King James Version is my favorite Bible but most any version is okay. It's not the Bible per se that's important it's finding in it, the Word of God that's paramount.
Anyway, if you are willing to put the effort in seeking the true Word of God for yourself and stop listening to preachers, experts, and "the church", I guarantee you'll find the peace that one finds only with Jesus.
God Bless You.

God did not create GAY. It was a product of continuing pestilence of the devil. It is a weakness you have to overcome just as when a person is liar or a criminal or a adulterer. But God loves you..that He is giving you now the time to think about it and fight for that. I have known several gays that decided to live for Christ and change and now they are better and happier and more satisfied individuals. The Lord has plans for you but He won't be able to do that if you still choose to tie up with sins. So, at this moment in time..you can pray..talk to God and ask His guidance and forgiveness..and I will assure you He will move His mighty hand and you will never know..how wonderful God is. God bless my friend.. :)

God created you gay for the same reason that some babies are born with incurable diseases, and some people are born with black hair, and some people are albinos.
If you think about the laws of nature, and that procreation is necessary for the survival of human life, then from that standpoint being gay is not 'the norm' - but on the other hand, if you're born that way it's no different from being born left-handed. Just because more people are right-handed doesn't make left-handed wrong, does it?

You just need to learn to accept yourself, and surround yourself with people who accept you - the way you are. Understand that not everyone has the mental capacity to grasp why you are the way you are and get on with your life.

I hope that this answer helps you - and helps you to be tolerant of the ignorant answers this question is going to get....

God did not create you to be gay, He created you for His glory. Just as God created you He knows you in and out. He knows more about you than you know about yourself. The great thing about God is He is a forgiver and a deliverer. If you ask God to come into your heart and and confess your sins to Him and ask for forgiveness, and then ask Him to take it away from you He will and I mean He will take it away from you. You chose to be gay, because maybe something happened when you were younger that makes you be that way, and or it is the spirit of lust, it is where you lust after anything. in the bible it says in the New Testament in the book of Romans chapter 1 verses 18 through 32, it talks about homosexuality. in verse 26: "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful LUSTS. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones."

Its not being born gay, it was thought that manifested in to feelings and now into actions. Thats how Satan gets so many people, by making them think his thoughts are your own thoughts.

1 Corinthians 6:10-11 : "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulteres nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor theieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderes nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were santified, you were justified in the name of the lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." You can be set free.

God Bless, and I will be praying

As others have probably told you,"God did NOT create you gay.
You may have tendencies that lead you to prefer one gender over the other and this is a CHOICE. I firmly believe that you can choose your preference in partners .
Then if you believe that GOD created you gay You believe in GOD and if this is true then you should ask GOD to help you in making your choices...I also believe that you WILL NOT burn in hell, because on your death bed ,when ever that may be you are going to confess all you sins no matter what they may be and ask for forgiveness
Just ask HE won"t deny you

Being gay is not something you were born with. It is however a choice. A sinful on at that. Dont blame God for the choices you make. However, there is still time to make your wrong choices right. And for all the people on here who say that there is no God, come one day, you will believe.

You listen to too many opinions that don't matter. I think the world is very powerful when it comes to changing what THEY say we should feel like, and what we REALLY DO feel like. Society as a whole does not condemn you for being gay, but there are influential members of society who do, and therefore, their word is spread more easily than those who are not influential. I will not say that everyone you love in your life will accept this, but the majority will. The ones that don't accept it are the ones who shouldn't be involved in your life anyways. HOPE THIS HELPS

In my eyes it is a test. Some say you chose to be gay, but I'm not so sure.

Rather, I believe that while you may feel a strong attraction to women, God wants you to get past that and not act upon the attraction. You may never be with a man (although that would be nice...), but you should also never be with a woman.

God bless!
