I will admit I had a bit of a chuckle reading that story. It makes you wonder though about the Police wasting time going round to that womans house when they could have been doing something more industrious, like investigating child pornography or drug dealing, what a waste of time. And the person who complaint, couldnt have been local since the sign had been up for 30 years and not one of them complained.

I read this article earlier today and it's a shame! People are so offended by everything. We've become the land of the offended. Noone has a sense of humor anymore. If you don't like it, don't look at it! I mean I wouldn't get upset if someone had a sign that read, "Our dogs are fed on fat white Christians"....what's the point of being offended by something like that! We spend so much time making a big fuss over things that really don't matter and not enough energy and time on the things that need to be changed for the better that would really make a difference in people's lives. People really need to lighten up! It is ok to do what is right, believe in God, etc. but you don't have to be a stuffy prude with no sense of humor.

Such disgusting vile advocating gruesome murder has no place in polite civilization. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Although a free society is granted "free speech", we understand that apartheid is intolerable. To post a sign, which can be read by the public, centering on a specific population, is considered "inciting hatred".
If I lived in the USA and posted a sign on my door which said something inflammable about a particular religious group, I would be summoned to court, forced to remove the sign, perhaps ordered to pay a fine, and subject myself to jail time.
If the sign had said, "No RELIGIOUS SOLICITATION", it would have been okay. Singling out one particular group is mean-spirited. I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I have no problem with accepting that they have the opportunity to believe whatever they wish, and part of their religion involves missionary work.
I answer my door, smile, and tell them I am not interested. I do the same thing to anyone going door-to-door.
Interesting question. Good Luck !

Since Jesus and his apostles went door to door preaching, I suppose she would have done the same to them. It is called not having an open mind. The Witnesses have a life-saving message just as Noah and Jesus had. They have a genuine love for God and are obeying the command to preach the good news about God's Kingdom to all nations.

Obviously the god they Jehovahs worship did not bless them with a sense of Humour.

PS for a balanced diet try adding a mormon now and then.

Most Jehovah's Witnesses I know would have found it funny. But there are unfortunately some who do not share my sense of humour. To each his (or her) own.

Yeah, what's up with that? I really don't understand a religion that requires a need to convince others of their beliefs? Me, I answer the door with a smile and trow the pamphlet in the trash!

i believe people doing the Lords work are to be respected regardless of it being a joke or not.if one does not like a certain parish keeping ones mouth shut like what iam suppossed to be doing now is at least appreciated.

i think its a pity and may Jehovah have mercy.

I thought the sign was funny if a joke or horrifying if it is real. She should just call her local Kingdom Hall and ask that they do not call on her again.
