In all seriousness--for I clown around here a lot--welcome to the brother- and sister-hood of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.

I was born and raised a Christian--and after four years of undergraduate began falling away and eventually lived a life of abandoned sin because it was the "in" thing among my equally agnostic pals and simply because it was fun!

Like eating too much food, I eventually became so full of trash that I regurgitated after losing an earth-angel that I might have won had I lived a better life and returned to the church (Protestant) where--after months of suffering and earnest prayer--one day, one workday afternoon, I received the Rebirth in Jesus--the holy fire that purged me and completely reshaped me inside and out. I rose from my knees a wholly new man in Christ and have never (not exactly true!) turned back (because I am human and subject to failings--but at least I have that anchor and the line I can pull on to drag myself back to a good anchorage.)

Here--my new brother--is a warning. Satan will now throw everything he has at you! Yes, he will. He is outraged that you are now saved. He will throw his best legions against you--you will experience pain, disappointment, frustration, defeat--in some days, you will ask yourself, "Is this really happening to me?"

Even your old friends and acquainces will laugh at you and mock. Yes, they will!

Why? He wants to trick you back into your old ways. He wants to make you question God, Jesus, your decision, your choice. He wants to make you say--just one time--"I have been a fool--haven't I! I will go back to the old ways."

He will make you terrible lonely and destroy your old world, your old foundations.

Yes, he will.

Satan is evil. He had you once and you escaped him. He so badly wants you back--not for you to be happy--but so he can mock God and say "See? You failed. I win!"

That is the rebellion of Satan against God and has been for the ages.

My advice is that when this starts and it will start soon, get yourself to a loving and spirit-filled Christian church. The demoniation really isn't important. Don't shop around for creed or rationales. DO shop for the presence of the Spirit. YOU WILL KNOW when you find that church. Cling to it as your second step into Christianity. DO NOT worship it, but do love it and consider it the portal FOR NOW to pass through into the life of a Christian.

Time, knowledge, your feelings, your growth in Christ may later cause you to change to another church, perhaps a different denomination. Let the Spirit lead you, even push you some.

Be open to the Spirit, pray for guidance, pray for work to be done for Christ, pray for your soul and the souls of those you love from the past life and your present one.

Expect to become a rabid advocate of your new-found faith. Expect this. It will be part of your "fruits"--the witness to your faith and your salvation. This part of you will change and mellow. Let it, my brother--that is the Spirit reshaping you into something you never suspected you were.

Take up your cross, your yoke, now, and follow Jesus. He will not lead you astray.

In very fact, he is your shepherd and you will not want.

I will, indeed, pray for you now and in the years to come.

My poor humble insufficient blessings and best wishes, my brother and friend.

Lee

Added__I am weeping in my happiness--for you and for me, as well. Thank you for witnessing to me and reminding me of the path I've come along.

I do not want to be chosen as the best answer. Choose someone else. I have already had my reward here. God Bless You, David--and thanks.

Since when do Jewish people believe that Jesus was the Son of God? Confused here. But the best thing to do this weekend would be to go to the park and have a picnic with a loved one. If no loved one in your life then go to the local animal shelter and take some dogs for a walk and if your situation allows for it adopt a pet. The details of your question are too much for me to deal with but God bless you.

I applaud your courage to embrace Jesus as Messiah. And never
forget, the first 50,000 Christians were Jewish. And the first
Christian Church was a Jewish Church in Jerusalem. One day
soon, all people on this planet will worship God in Jerusalem
with Messiah, Lord, King Jesus sitting on the throne of King David.

Proverbs 3;5, Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean
not to thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3;6, In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He
shall direct thy paths.

I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

solid for you which you carry the burden of maximum of who reject Him. Pray on your enemies and you'd be blessed abundantly! Many reject Jesus 'cos their hearts are nonetheless hardened and that they are like doubting Thomas who would desire to verify a miracle happen till now they could have self assurance besides the actuality that Jesus has achieved many miracles in his time...through fact of this followers of Jesus have a heavier activity of praying for them that they're going to repent and comprehend the solid information that Jesus is the way the actuality and the life.

Yeshua! Jesus is Lord. I am so happy to meet a brother in Christ. You are truly blessed to be one of the Chosen People of God, Yisrael! Thank you for sharing your faith, strength, and faithfulness with everyone. In these days, persecution is everywhere for those who profess their faith. Take heart.

Psalm 32:8
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Psalm 39:1
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

Psalm 40:8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Psalm 42:6
O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

Psalm 42:8
Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

Shalom!
