do you consider the whole of them together? Honestly I have seen so many people say "I coud never be a _____because some ____. When I look at a particular religious faith I consider the best of them and find that overall most are on this side. I was just wondering how you look at it. One cannot judge all humanity by it's "worst" members.

Whenever there is a large group of people that should tell you just how many possible differences there are in that group. I only evaluate people on an individual basis and try not to judge.

Sadly in general society the answer is the worst member because those are the ones remembered. Think about it though we may try as individuals to be fair and judge each person individually but we also have mass media telling us what to think about different cultures and stereotypes. The Muslims, the Mexican, the Native American, in earlier times the Asians, Germans and Irish, news shows love to broadcast what members from different cultures do wrong but they never report about the thousands of people living normal and 'good' lives. Personally I try to judge a person as an individual because that's what i expect from them. Yet, I still have to keep in mind the society I live in.

I agree with you that one should not judge all humanity by it's "worst" members. To say that all people of one group are the same takes away from the individuality of each person and may unfairly stereotype them. Each person is unique and it isn't accurate to judge anyone based on the best or worst of an entire group. You have to look at the actions of each individual person, and even then...should we judge?

some worship God some worship the devil, and some worship science. For the most part everyone thinks one of these are true. so let the ones that worship God study and learn about him and take part in all God has to offer. and the ones that believe in the devil do the same. and also the ones that believe in since. at the end of life we will all know the truth.are we can look for the truth while we are on earth and be open minded until we find the truth. I hope everyone finds the truth they are looking for and i have included this site as a place to start for some and a place to end for others that thank they know what is true good link http://the-heavenly-home-page.blogspot.com/

I think that it's a mistake to draw conclusions about any group simply on the basis of what the members do or how they behave. In every group there are those who "practice what they preach" and others who don't. And although we might make generalizations about groups of people, I believe that God sees the heart of the individual and isn't bound by labels, even though I know quite a few self-righteous people who think that God can't love anyone except people in THEIR group.

I think you have sunshine in your eyes. It doesn't matter what would be the best in a perfect world where information is infinite and freely available. What matters is what you know, and what you have to choose. For example, if you were forced to choose between entering one of two rooms, one with a dog in it and the other with a snake, which would you choose if you weren't allowed to look in and see first? I am betting most people would choose the room with the dog because they have judged the snake by the worst of it's species, the poisonous vipers. Now most people's worst experience with a dog is a barker, but not a biter, but you don't know if it is a hungry pit-bull in one room and a 6 inch, harmless gardener's snake in the other, you just go by what you know. And we don't know everything and we don't know the hears of men.

Everyone is different. I don't believe that you would be able to judge a group of people because one person is bad. There is good and bad in all of us.

I personally don't look at the person. I try to go a little deeper and look at the heart. The eyes tell you a lot also....

Thank you for your question and you have a great day.

I would consider the group's Beliefs, rather than deciding on a good or bad experience Ive had with them. However, if I have ONLY seen bad members not displaying Christian qualities (considering they're Christian) then I will be a little more skeptical when hearing of their beliefs.

I'm more interested in what the group's beliefs and ideals are. Looking at any individuals, good or bad, will give an imperfect understanding of what the group stands for.

Best of members because those are the people that are following their religion or ethics the best. The worst are the corrupted ones that have no clue what is required of them...nor do they care.
