He told him to do so for a reason, fine. Those who were not on the ark perished, by whose hand?

good question-- he did instruct Abraham to kill his son- he did cause plagues that killed many Egyptians- including all the male babies. and yes god also wanted to kill all the infidels so he flooded the earth to kill everyone except Noah and his family-- so yes with all the information from the bible itself- yes god is a killer
don't worry about all the hate mail you will get- people are stupid and love the bible - but for some reason they simply forget or don't read all of it

???? Hummmm.... God obviously has has the power. I don't know if "killer" is the correct way to put it. He is the Creator, He has the power of life and death in His hands. The Bible says "it is appointed once for man to die". So I wouldn't call that a killer, but the way of life.

As far as other things in the Bible where cities were demoloshied, people destroyed animals... etc. God gave direction to the people, He warned, He preached, He gave signs, He spoke, He did everything He could, to show people the "right way to go". It is mans free will to choose - that's how God made us. He is a gentlemen - He won't make someone do anything against thier will.
If you disobay the Lord, or blasphem His name, the Bible also tells of the punishment for that..... and back in the day when this stuff was happening, the people were also warned of that.... punishment.

Noah........ Because the Lord told him to, and he was a faithful servent of the Lord and wanted to be obedient. Do you realize those people didn't even know what rain was.... they never even saw rain before.... and here is the Lord telling a man (a man as plain as you or I) to build an ark that will hold two of every living creature on earth. WOW! Some faith and obedience Noah must of had. To not even known HOW to build one. In his obedience, he and all the animals that went abord (listened to the Lord) were saved. The rest were demolished. Again,,,, God instructed and warned and gave everyone the same opportunity to head His word.......

God is not a killer, His desire is that no one would perish, but have everlasting life......

He loves - He saves - He heals - He delivers - He is compassion

Noah had to build the Ark because God told him to, God chose Noah because he was the believed and followed in God like no one else. After Eve and Adam ate from the forbidden fruit and brought sin into the world it spread. God didnot like this. So he caused the flood to cleanse the Earth of all the people and sin. Noan and his family was the only without sin they trusted in God completely. NOah lived near NO WATER but was told to build a boat, he asked no questions, just did as God told. After the flood killed every living being except Noah and his family God realized what he had don and was upset that he had done it and swore never to do it or any thing like again.

Is God a killer? Well, yes, God kills people all of the time. He says in the Bible that He kills people, so why would you have to ask?

Don't get me wrong here. I'm not saying anything against God. He is the creator and owner of all things. He can do whatever He wants and who are we to say anything against Him? He is a righteous judge and a loving Father. He doesn't just kill people for no reason. But anyone who tries to "defend" God by claiming that He doesn't kill people has a skewed view of what it says in the Bible.

the sinful nature and activity had grown so bad that God said that he regretted creating mankind. Once the flood was over, God put up a rainbow, which till this day is a covenant between Man and God meaning God would never destroy the world by flood again.

God is a creator. He created the earth and all the animals and people. The people have free will to choose and if they choose to be wicked then they will perish. That is the choice people have .
So no God is not a killer but the people by their rebelliousness have killed themselves.

God only eliminated those who were willfully wicked. In Noah's time at Genesis 6:5 it tells us: "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Noah and his family were the only ones living who were not wicked. Noah tried for years to warn everyone about God's plan to destroy the world of ungodly people, but they refused to listen to him so they lost their lives.
Even today, when people are warned about disasters such as hurricanes or eartquakes, etc, they refuse to listen and often lose their lives. Who usually gets blamed?---God.
But God should never be blamed for bad things that happen. Satan the devil is the cause of mankinds suffering and sometimes humans themselves are to blame for terrible things that happen because they refuse to heed the warnings.

God is Holy. He's about love and creation, not gloom and doom and destruction. He knew what He was doing with the flood. It made Him sad. He promised not to destroy the world again (with a rainbow as a reminder). Man will just about do the job of destroying all human life, but He will intervene before man totally annihilates the human race.

God had commanded him to do so. That's why. Everyone was given a chance to believe in one God but many chose not to do so...

The Ark was built to save the believers from the storm.
