No man on earth knows if anything in the bible really happened because no man was alive to see it and tell us about it
Everything Is here is hear say, People think they have a pretty good idea but no one can be 100% sure anything is really true.
I really like lots of the bible and it sounds devine but god said ( It's our obligation to question everything ) and thats what i do.
He said many will come in my name and many will be deceved , Hes warning you! he said MANY not a few people.
So look around who are the many preaching his name, religon
They are deceving you christans have been brainwashing you for 1500 years and you cling to every word.
Thet have no say over your salvation you do, they said this to extract money from you over the last1500 years
Keep your tithing and give it to your community food bank or other local support group.
If some one tells you that you need to pay to hear the word of god grab your wallet and get out.
You cannot buy your way into heaven.

NOTE: In light of the fact that there is a type of scism taking place at Medjugorje, the Bishop said on Corpus Christi, "Therefore I responsibly call upon those who claim themselves to be “seers”, as well as those persons behind the “messages”, to demonstrate ecclesiastical obedience and to cease with these public manifestations and messages in this parish. In this fashion they shall show their necessary adherence to the Church, by neither placing private “apparitions” nor private sayings before the official position of the Church."

(The full text of Bishop Peric's homily can be found at http://te-deum.blogspot.com/2006/07/homily-of-bishop-ratko-peric-of.html.)

In situtations like Medjugorje, I always think of what St. Ignatius said: "Where the Bishop is, there is the Church, and where the Church is, there is the Bishop...Where the Spirit is, there is the Church, and where the Church is, there is the Spirit of God."

Lets take all of our children and other easily convincible people and tell them if they dont believe that the stars are actually giant apples with hair and that want us to send them ice cream, they are going to be tortured for eternity? Anyone wanna join me? I am sure we could make a fortune from this, just tell them that they have to provide to the ice cream fund every year to appease the furry apple stars. We could even write a book, and to make it mroe convincing we will write many times in the book "This is the absolute and truthful word of furry apple star number 42, and we are furry and apples because whatever I say is true".

Now do you see why I dont like Christianity? It is wrong to tell children they are going to be tortured for eternity. Do you know that if you tell a lie so many times, you will actually start to believe it?

It goes on about God creating the world and Man but who created the dinosaurs?
Surely this proves evolution over religion

I recently gave up homosexuality for God, and I was doing good. Then I had a dream about having sex with a man, and he was a hot one. Why would God let me dream such a thing? I am hard as a rock now, and just want to ejaculate over my dream, but I do not want to hurt Gid. What should I do? This is eating me up inside.

I am agnostic because im not sure whats true. I mean science is my best bet cuz it makes sense and its proven. But evry religious person thinks its bad not to beleive in god. There is not proof, and thats why im questioning.

then in the SAME BOOK he said that everything in that book is factual... without sources or any sort of backing, and you people believe it? Atheist logic is far superior to your inferior form of "cuz God told me so" logic, we should be in charge of all the major decision making.

I started attending an independent Pentecostal church about eight years ago. Since this church is not associated with the UPC, I did not realize that it was a Oneness church until just recently as the pastor never talked about defending or 'attacking' the belief in the Trinity. However, I am a Trinitarian through and through. Should I stop attending this church, even though it has been my home church for a long time?

The church leadership is wonderful, but I disagree with the Oneness doctrine. It is about the only UPC doctrine that the church maintains, actually. I don't know if a disagreement over the validity of the Trinity is a big reason to leave. The church stands for absolute truth and the inerrancy of the Bible.

I was actually considering leaving the church earlier this summer before I found out about the Oneness doctrine. I was thinking about leaving because I need an accountability group with people around my age, not people twice or three times my age.

...I said everyone who was a Christian was a sheet wearing, black person lynching KKK member?

Then why do so many people seem to think that everyone who is Islamic is a terrorist?

The deeds of the few do not speek for the minds of the many. Most Moslems don't even consider those committing terrorist acts true Moslems, the same way Christians don't see KKK members as true Christians.

Some say the Koran is full of verses about "killing infadels" and such. Well, so is the Bible. Is the Bible "full of hate" too?

What are your thoughts on this?

It seems the Christians, Jews, Muslims, and other religions have documentation that describes and explains God. Even the Dead Sea Scrolls are religious. But, there are no scrolls that say there is no God. I find this fascinating that a great majority of the world believes in God, but the Atheists have no documentation at all to give them anything, except emptiness.

I've prayed and prayed about this dream for years now. Because I was so horrified of what the answer may be, I put it off to the side and just continued living my life. I felt like the dream reflected things I believe (my point of view) rather than what was really true. However, I just don't know. Perpetua had a triumphant dream hi
before she died, but my dream was very- and I mean VERY- non-triumphant. It has caused me to fear God in more ways than I ever thought I could and fear interaction with Jesus altogether (I know they're one in the same, anyway, though). I don't want to go into the details of the dream, however if anyone wants to message me about it privately, then I will talk with them. It haunts me, bad.

my beliefs are the one true belief and you were to believe the same of yours then how could we find some common ground to be able to get along. ( assuming that our beliefs were radically different) can it be done?
after reading so many opposing answers and questions on here it seems unlikely at best.
