If people abuse children, or rape or have sex with animals the law can take action...we don't need to rely on God.
If you are implying gays should be punished by God... and it sounds like that is what you are inferring ... then the answer is no.
Gays having consensual sex are harming nobody, it is not a crime to have gay sex in most Western countries, it is not a mental disease and it is not a sin...no matter if certain interpretations of unclear scripture are used to back up some anti-gay Christian prejudices.
Homosexuality is now accepted as a normal human variation like height or IQ.

Are you actually comparing someone who is gay to someone who molest children? An adult who prefers to be with a child who is not old enough to make their own decisions is nothing more then a pervert. An adult that chooses to be with someone of the same sex is old enough to make that choice. You go to jail for molesting children, you don't go to jail for be homosexual.
What is with so many of you people on here? I don't think I realized how many hateful people are really out there until I started reading some of the obnoxious post that you leave! You don't like gay people? Then don't go around them. Don't worry, they don't have magical powers that turn you gay if they pass you on the street.....I have personally been around many gay people, and I'm still straight.

God has set various laws in motion concerning our behavior.
If you violate these laws there are consequences which have
already been set in times past, before the foundation of the earth.
E.G. If you jump off a tall building onto the concrete below you
will probably die. God didn't want you to die, but the law of
gravity was set in motion way back and all things being equal
you will have to find another law that supercedes it to avoid
the consequences.

God gives specific outlines in the bible as to what is appropriate and what is sin as far as sex goes. Those who choose to ignore the laws God has laid down will suffer because of it, sooner or later. Just as a smoker eventually suffers, you will reap what you have sown. It speaks specifically of the corrupting the Innocent and the punish seems pretty severe. The bible says it would be better for them to have a millstone around their neck..... and be cast into the sea.

It sounds like the original comment is referencing homosexuality. If so, then it is being taken out of context to support the argument in other instances of sexual preference. Very few people, Theist or Atheist, would ever suggest rape, pedophilia or bestiality is appropriate.

Saying all gays go after young boys is the same as saying all straight men go after young girls.
Gay men would like to meet other gay men.
NOT children and NOT straight men (why do straight men think all gay men want them? Perhaps there is a gene in straight men which makes them think everyone finds them attractive.)
And since we're talking about criminal behavior…I can probably safely assume that all straight men are criminals! After all, aren’t most murders committed by heterosexual men? Gang violence, drug trafficking, spousal abuse, rape, corporate scandals, gun shootings, mugging, car jacking AND child abuse…are all done by heterosexual men! I guess that means heterosexuality is inherently evil! No?
Wake up!

I'm not sure what you are trying to suggest - are you trying to equate homosexuality with rape? Because that is non-sequitur - the end simply doesn't follow the argument. By your logic, someone who has a taste for pink lacy underwear is on the same par with a pedophile - that is a logic I simply can't buy.

Don't lump every issue together.
In it's simplest form, God's message is for us to "Be Good".
If you have bad intentions, he'll judge you badly, whether it's with a man, woman, child or a horse. If you have good intentions and act accordingly, he'll view you favorably no matter what men say.
Men have a nasty habit of using books and teachings of other men to distort the will of God. We have a tendency to lose the message by concentrating on the details.
I don't think God cares if someone's gay, he just wants it to be for the right reasons. Just like the rest of us, good gay people will go to heaven, bad gay people will go to hell.

I suggest you leave to your God what is God's to decide and do. Meanwhile it is up to us mortals to deal with behaviour we consider inappropriate and harmful (leave "evil" out of it). Punishment MAY discourage, but there are better ways. If they prove inadequate, then we may have to isolate those who harm others, so they cannot do it. That is a terrible indictment of our own failure and inadequacy, as much as theirs. Judgement demands compassion - but compassion need not excuse, or fail to intervene.
