What does it mean? When you first lifted up your hands did you feel weird? My brother, says I do it for attention, he doesn't understand that I am not ashamed.

Think of a child who holds their hands up when they want to be held by their father/mother.....we are reaching for Him. Showing our love for Him...

It is a sign of surrender. For most people who do it, so much love for their savior is pouring out of them, they just want to reach up and grab Him and hold him. It is an act of surrender. Think of it as bowing down before Him.

For some, it means reaching to God, to be closer to Him. For me though, it does nothing.
