Ezekiel 39: 18
Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

The bible was discovered and translated by man as was the Gospel of St Thomas. How on earth can the Vatican even think that it has the right to lable it Heresy when there is no difference what so ever between how the bible came about and how the Gospel of St Thomas came about. The Vatican might just as well lable the bible Heresy as well.

It seems to me that they are two very seperate things and yet objection to Israel is assumed to be objection to Jewish people. I thought the same way until I was introduced to the Jewish movements of Jews Against Zionism and a few others. Reading about them was very interesting and enlightening.

Should any ONE christian have any authority over another? is anyone better than the other in christianity? or have we all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God? was Paul a sinner, did he not persecute christians, and then God called him for his purpose? Why, oh why, do some christians condesendingly criticise other fellow christians when we all need the same sacrifice for salvation? tx :)

My friend's kidney's are shutting down as we speak. She proably won't last thru the night. She is a wonderful woman, and has been a second mother to me. Please stop and say a little pray for her. Ask if it is her time to please let her go peacefully? If Jesus isn't calling her home now, ask for strength so she can recover quickly. Thank you so much! God be with us all....

We both believe in God and living righteous but there are a few others things that we don't agree on. I think it might be a problem but he just says the Lord will work it out. I know God will but why let the issue go until a real problem arises. I love him but I'm not going to stop believing the truth and do what I think is wrong for him.......So what should I do????

One of my favorite Christian theologians Paul Tillich wrote a little book called, “The Irrelevance and Relevance of the Christian Message”. (Yea I know I’m not a Christian but I still like to study the stuff.)

Anyway, one of the points he makes is that if one focuses strongly on the historicity or proving the factuality of Christianity then Christianity becomes irrelevant.

What say you? Does preoccupation with whether or not some element of a religion is factual reduce the relevance of the religion or spiritual practice in question?

are insecure, uninformed, truly childish, or really do not know what it is they believe? I am not mentioning names just asking what others think. I am a Christian and I do not like seeing that name drug through the mud by others professing that faith. I truly do not understand why or how a person claiming Christ could act so hatefully. Christ did not teach hate.

I'm looking for something that is organized like a family tree. For example some denominations broke away from Lutheran, then that one split into 2 more, etc.

By the way, in case someone doesn't know what I mean by Protestant, I mean non-Catholic and non-Orthodox Christian.

Here is the best I've found so far that shows, in detailed order by year, the highlights of Church history from the very beginning up to 1978:
