are insecure, uninformed, truly childish, or really do not know what it is they believe? I am not mentioning names just asking what others think. I am a Christian and I do not like seeing that name drug through the mud by others professing that faith. I truly do not understand why or how a person claiming Christ could act so hatefully. Christ did not teach hate.

Funny I did not mention any names why would anyone presume I was speaking of them?

Speaking the truth in love does not include insults and deliberate jabs. But stating facts and Scripture.

I definitely get a little involved in button-pushing, so I'm far from innocent, but I know exactly what you're talking about.
And in fact, I think some of the finest "Christians" (those who live a life Christ would approve of) do not own a bible, go to church, or even call themselves Christians.
I have alot of respect and admmiration for those who mould their lives in a Christ-like way, but as you said, the word "Christian" has a very negative connotation for most people out there.
I say, abandon the name. . .you'll never be able to clean it up!
Just continue to strive to be more like Christ.
Thanks for a fantastic question!!!

Whenever I see people acting that way, I don't always view it as people consciously attempting to insult one another. The insults seem to come as a side-effect to what one person believes as defending/promoting their own religion.
It's easy to become blinded to your own bad behavior when you think you are promoting something you believe in. That's why I think if everyone took a step back and truly thought before they started writing, they would realize how their comments are more likely to drive people away than bring them in.
In my opinion, if people truly want to show their belief and love in God, do it through your actions. Anyone can talk. It takes a bigger person to actually follow their own advice.

I'll use this one again.....
Not even the Archangel Michael said a slanderous remark against satan. Finding Jesus is a calling, and a gift of the Holy Spirit, and regardless of what you say people will always have their own opinion. The weapons of our warfare are not of this world. It is the way we live our lives, and our actions that people witness, not how we can try to win an argument. Instead of trying to convince somebody, with senseless quarrels, why don't we pray for them?

With the Internet people can really speak their mind and without even being seen. I think when people feel threatened or unsure, they often lash out. I guess it is human nature and it gets the better of a lot of people. I also think our society has become a lot ruder and there is a general loss of civility all around.

As you know, this could hardly be considered good Christian behavior. ..or human behavior, for that matter. Mutual respect in all things fosters goodwill...and we could all use more of it in our lives. Some people have a need to feel superior in their belief system...and won't even entertain the possibility that there could be more than one answer. At least they declare themselves...and then you can steer clear of them. Peace.

Some people (especially on the Internet) lie.
They will say they are one thing...and it's not the truth.
Sometimes, they just want to stir up hate and discontent.
One must just ignore them.
Grace to you and God Bless!

I think that both sides are fighting for what they believe... I don't know but religious is too confusing base on peoples believes.. Is not that I don't believe in my religious is that we just can't understand how they can't love God if he is everything... in this Universe and all..
