Please recommend a well respected English translation (with perhaps the beautiful Arabic script in parallel).

And a good commentary. . .that may contemplate that readers come from a Judaic and/or Christian background. . .so cross referencing with the Hebrew/Christian Bibles.

Also. . .is there a daily/weekly reading schedule or Lectionary that corresponds with the 52 weeks in a year? (The Torah readings work this way. . .Christianity has something similar but on a 2 or 3 year cycle.)

Finally. . .location. . .where to purchase. . .on the Internet?

Thank you in advance!

Children Learn What They Live

If a child lives with hatred he learns to hate.
If a child lives with hostility he learns to fight.
If a child lives with torture he learns to be cruel.
If a child lives with terror he learns to terrorise.
If a child lives with oppression he learns to be subversive.
If a child lives under military occupation and lives every day of his life in fear of his life.......
he grows up to be a suicide bomber

How can a God have emotions, i.e. jealousy, anger, sadness, love, etc., if he is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent? Emotional states are reactionary for the most part. How can God react to us if he is all-knowing and has a divine plan?

cont.

g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Is it because God wants it to be kept CLEAN? Don't you think 50 years of your barbaric occupation to other people's land is enough to replace the hill with a new one, ten times over?

Thank you all for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal here, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

They always talk about what they want but they never answer the question asked. Is it an accident? They will go into lengthy explanation of what they want and not what the Questioner asks. Have any1 notice that? You ask them 1 thing they tell you another.
And after you will ask them again and even ask to answer only to the question they still manage to tell you anything but the answer to your question.

In the Old Testament (somebody help me out here) God ( as one of the 7 spirits of the throne) says "I will go forth as a lying spirit".

The Bible says that in Christ, there is no guile, that He is all perfection.

If Christ is the Word, and the word is God , and was with God...

How could God lie???

Using science to prove that there is no God is like using apples to prove that there are no oranges. If you really want to prove to me that God isn't real all you have to do is take the test.

That's right - take the test that Jesus gave us in the Bible.
John 7:17- If any man will do His will (meaning God's will) he will know of the doctrine whether it be of God or whether I (Jesus)speak of myself.

Accept the Bible, strive to follow its teachings, strive to live as Jesus outlined in the Bible. Seek His spirit, don't rely solely on the teachings of man or of a religion but strive to find God in your life and then ask Him if He is real.

That's right- just ask Him. You have to take the step of faith by sincerely striving to follow His teachings first, then ask Him if He is real and if He doesn't answer you, then I will question if God is real. I am open minded- maybe my experience was some sort of hallucination or mentally induced anomaly. Let me know if it doesn't work.

both options are insane, because impossible, but which do you think is most horrible:

1 ) A TV-show that puts 9 gay men in one house, and 1 straight man, and the gay men have try and convert the straight man to homosexuality

2 ) All those Christian homophobes who try to convert homosexuals into being straight

Christians are nice to people and follow laws because they believe something good will happen to them in a supposed afterlife.

I'm nice to people and follow laws because I want to.

Because I don't think there's anything in it for me, does that make me a better person?

I myself do believe that Satan exsists. There has been so much evil and hatred in the world, especially now, for him NOT to exsist. The Bible teaches us that Satan's greatest accomplishment is making people think that he DOES NOT EXSIST. It even tells us that Satan can be "Transformed into an angel of light."

Can somone tell me why all the athiest and other types of unbelievers
always seem to be answering faith based questions when they don't believe in a God. Is it just they don't know what to believe or how to. Could it even be they can't wrap there heads around the idea of the word of God simply because of the things that happened are things they don't see happening therfore can't exist.
Or do they just like trying to cast more doubt...
Whats your take.........

Take your time to think and remember there is nothing before nothing.
Let’s imagine that there is nothing in the world except GOD. Nothing exists. Totally nothing. Now Loving GOD has his grand master plan. Before anything exists “heaven, earth, evil, good, angels, Adam , eve… you named it” God already knows how it will be. Humans did not fall yet. Heaven is not even created. And GOD knows what will happen and he knows how it will happen. Notice that there is no free will yet. Completely nothing. So god sees his grand master plan and sees it “good” And he continue to proceed with that plan. Evil is not created. Dust that he will use to Create Adam is only in the plan and he knows the outcome. He still proceeds with that grand thing.

Qeustion!!!
Can any1 claim that GOD wanted any other way to be and not the way it is now?
