I propose a Campaign Against Superstitious Thinking, to seek to eradicate all forms of irrational belief systems - That includes all religions, plus supernatural nonsense like astrology, astral projection, crystal healing, belief in ghosts and spirits, faith healing, magic and witchcraft and so on and so forth, ad nauseum (and it is indeed nauseating).

What can we do to not only help people think rationally, but also to *want* to think rationally?

I'm sick of hearing people misuse the definition of Atheism (mainly) and proclaim it to be true to the entire non-believer community here.

First, you have to buy into the claim that some dude made dust from nothing and you from dust.

Following this, you have to swallow the claim that you're a sinner because some chick listened to a talking snake.

Next, you have to buy into the claim that you may be punished in some Hell dimension for your sins.

Later, you have to accept the claim that some guy allowed himself to be tortured and killed so that you don't have to go to the other dimension.

After you have swallowed all of this you have to realize it doesn't make sense and accept it anyway................ And you'll be rewarded for doing that..............

Is that the jist of it or am I missing something?

Could a person call the police information desk 12 times one day, then call the police information desk the next day 12 times without getting into trouble? Keep in mind that each time you call, you are asking real legit questions. And also keep in mind that the same person will be answering each time you call. Some christians claim that the urban legend about Darwin becoming a Christian on his deathbed is true.

Jesus said, on his deathbed (Well..bed..you know what i mean) something like "father, why hast thou forsaken me..."

So, ok, Darwin became a Christian on his deathbed, Jesus became an Atheist on his deathbed.

Good compromize?

CHRISTIANS ONLY! (I don't want to offend non-believers) ONLY CHRISTIANS!?
Do you all see the heathens and demons that are running rampant through this website!? How do you get through the day trying to minister in such an evil place!?

I need help to know that my work for God is not in vain! Have you ever won anyone over to Jesus on this website!? Will you all pray with me that the HOLY SPIRIT convicts their hearts that they might know they are sinners and cast out their demons!? If we all band together with the strength of the LORD, we can surely help to cast out these demons and save these souls!


I just find it very odd that these fundies condemn us as being hethens and demons because we choose to not believe as they do. This is one step away from the radicals we read about everyday blowing themselves up. I will say this one more time. NO ONE KNOWS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH, SO PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DO.
