The whole point of having a civil union is going through the motions of being married without the commitment. If you are already married, what's the point? You already have one woman to give you grief; why add another to the mix?

No. Civil Unions are ridiculous because they do not grant equal to marriage legal rights to those involved. It's a slap in the face to those who desperately WANT the legal rights of marriage but who are denied them through archaic beliefs, regardless of logic and reason.
Polygamy is illegal in every state. Even they strange type of polygamy practiced by the LDS church where only the first wife is the legal wife and the rest are only married in spirit.
