then why do you use this distorted view of sovereignty when it comes to destruction upon earth and calamity and tragedy either corporately or personally that effects people saying it was God's will or he allowed it. people use the case of Job sayin God gives the devil permission but if you study you will see satan wasnt askin permission but simply put God "read" satans heart and intent to attack Job and verbalized it God didnt give satan permission because God said look he is already in your hand. so I believe God is always good and the devil causes these terrible things . look at Jesus words and he is God in the flesh he said he aint come to destroy mens lives but to save ( that is SOZO in the original greek all inclusive word meaning to save heal deliver and protect and prosper) them simply put good God bad devil and people ignorantly give satan access through blaming God

After several quotes by Bush saying that this's a Christian country, claiming June 10th to be Jesus day, saying he doesn't believe witchcraft's a religion, + a Republican (Bush is Republican) said we should go into different countries, kill their leaders + convert them to Christianity...

... what do you say about it being time for us to have a Pagan president? They'd care more about the enivornment than Bush, no doubt. More about children + education. Equal rights.

Please, no quoting the Bible or saying "witchcraft/paganism is evil/bad/stupid/Satanic/demonic" in anyway shape or form.

I prayed to God to give me as answer, and he spoke to my heart to open his word to a random passage. So I obeyed that still small voice, and this is the scripture that God showed me:

Religion is an easy medium to move masses into action.
"The words of the dogma will change, but its nature will remain constant."

God and religion have something to do with those who have locked their brains and unlocked their hearts. So they are a kind of people who are unable to think with their right organ. They think with their hearts. First I tell them this. I just stimulate their brains. I never start with "THERE IS NO GOD" If I do so they become more defensive. I just make them say that there is no God. But it takes at least 2 semesters. It is a long way to go... At the core of the problem is the dogma... yes.. but not exactly. Dogmas are related always with the mysterious and unknown. Man has existential fears. Religion, God and all kinds of other stupid things are there to make them get rid of these existential fears.

Sorry, I spun this off of someone else's question. I am an Agnostic Atheist. It really bothers me when these organizations could give that extra money helping the hungry or other people who have problems in the world. Why doesn't the church view this as a sin?

In todays world there seems to be no such thing as morals anymore. Noone seems to know right from wrong or maybe its just that its getting to the point that noone cares, so I was just wondering what do the words morals and self respect mean to the majority of people in our country?

I know it was not God or Gawd as most NAmerican Christians say. If a non-Christians use a different word to refer to the Almighty they say you have a different Diety than us. I know majority of Christians do not say God they say Dios. So South American Christians are worshipping something else than those Christians living in Northern Americas. How about the Christian Arabs they use the word Allah to refer to the Almighty. I guess they are worshipping another diety than you. Jesus spoke Aramaic not English so do we have the exact word he used or not???? I know he did not profess to himself when he said : “the Father is greater than I.” (John 14:28).

He also said: “I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” (John 20:17).

These 'translations' used Father and God...So what is the real word he used.

I am open to teaching conflicting theories, but intelligent design is completely unsubstantiated. Why don't we teach kids about the science of Santa Clause, or better yet other cultures ancient views on God(s) designing the world. There is no room for religion in school. School is for learning truth, not idiotic guesses.

Ya know ever since I was a lil boy and I am now a man of 45-all I have heard come from the Creation of Isreal has been religious persecution of one group to the other. Now We (The good ol USA) were esential in establishing this place that has been nothing but a thorn in our sides from all I can remember hearing about it-Terrorists-Bombs-Executions-innocent deaths-because we tried to do something right for the Jews persecuted by Hitler and yet totally wronged the Palestinians that were there and even supported our efforts in WWII. What was once a land of Freedom of Religion and Belief is now a land fought over for control as we sit here and wait for them to develop a BOMB THEY CAN DROP ON US! Why don't we just go in and disarm them all Make Israel the 51st state and demand that they allow Freedom of Religion to ALL Citizens and any attack on it will then be attacking us and we will also have a stronghold forcreating our own bases and countering any plots or coops against US. SERIOUSLY?
