After several quotes by Bush saying that this's a Christian country, claiming June 10th to be Jesus day, saying he doesn't believe witchcraft's a religion, + a Republican (Bush is Republican) said we should go into different countries, kill their leaders + convert them to Christianity...
... what do you say about it being time for us to have a Pagan president? They'd care more about the enivornment than Bush, no doubt. More about children + education. Equal rights.
Please, no quoting the Bible or saying "witchcraft/paganism is evil/bad/stupid/Satanic/demonic" in anyway shape or form.
I also suggest you watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-P1ymfSk950&search=pagan
It has more quotes + pics than I could ever hope to post on a Y!A question.
Don't worry if you're not from the USA. Just think about how your country would be affected by the USA having a Pagan president.

kewl2b4Him, think about the Crusades, hmmn? What of the Burning Times? Christianity has killed the most people so far, thank you very much. So, please, do not just make any assumptions.

Ahh, it would be a breath of fresh air. Literally AND figuratively. And it would prevent garbage like this from happening anymore. Equal rights my ar$e!

Okay, what one Republican says cannot be generalized to all Republicans. If I cared enough, I'm sure I could find some quotes from pagans and use that to say all pagans believe such things and you would quickly correct me.
Similar to that, I don't think you can say beyond a doubt that any pagan would believe this-this-and-this on the issues. You may, but I'm sure not every pagan does, just as not every Christian feels the same way about issues.
If a pagan ran for President and his or her views on the issues and plans to resolve the issues more closely matched mine than any other candidate, sure, I would vote for that person. But it's kinda foolish and very presumptuous to make blanket statements like any pagan would be a good President.

It would be a welcome change that's for sure, and to be honest I would not mind an Independent candidate when the next Presidential election. Evangelical Christians think that they are the only ones who have a right to run for President (or at least that is the gist I am getting anyway). Look at the fit the far right through over V.P. Chaney. Personally I am just tiered of religion playing any part in politics, but that is my personal opinion.

There was a Wiccan running for governor here in Minnesota just last year. He claimed he'd behead not only Bush, but all serial killers and sexual deviants and put their heads on pikes in front of the capitol. A few months after that, he got kicked out of Minnesota.
That is why we don't have Pagan or Wiccan presidents. I'm not a supporter of everything that Bush does, but he is sure doing a much better job than anyone else on here could do. I'm not Christian either. I'm Atheist, but our country was built on Christian values and I'd like it remain a primarily Christian nation.

President Bush belongs to many occult/ Pagan organizations Skull and Bones, he also supports many anti-Christian organizations, and does unbiblical things( help the rich instead of the poor, go to war, swear, lie, and support anti-Christian legislature)
How do you know the reason he is a horrible president may not be because he is pagan do some degree.

I am pagan but I am not really overly concerned about a president's faith. I do become concerned when a president doesn't uphold his duty to provide this country with the separation of church and state. There are many paths to the same goal, and christianity is simply one path.

Point me to the voting booth! I remember Bush saying that there were no such things as Pagans. Interesting that military personnel may now put Wicca on their dog tags as a religious choice and we are now recognized by the government to be eligible for the same tax breaks as Christian churches......we DO exist and our voices are not as muffled as they were in the past.

I think anyone - christians, pagans, atheists, muslim, etc. - who uses their thought/belief system as a special identity for themselves and seek to separate people into different groups, should not be president. I've seen enough fundamentalist, separating, demonize-the-opposition, oh-look-at-how-special-I-am people who are pagans or christians or atheists that I realize they're all the same. Anyone who uses this stuff like you're doing (and deludes himself into thinking that somehow they're not actiing EXACTLY like those whom they think they're not like) is not going to be the kind of open-minded person that's good for this country.

I've seen that video before and I have it bookmarked! I love it!
I personally think we need a president who's well rounded, educated, morel, and objective. We need Captain Pickard.
Though, having a Pagan president would be awesome, too! Things would be a lot different.

How refreshing that would be. It would be nice to at least have a president that didn't use his so-called belief in his religion as a tool to control the people he's supposed to be working for. Unfortunately I think our human greed and love of instant gratification would never let this happen, we're too easy to control.

George Bush may claim to be christian but the fact is that he IS A member of the skull and bones, and other occult factions. He is getting ready to go on a little trip down to bohemian grove.. go google it.
