Because they answer according to a very narrow conceptual framework. It's sort of like asking a tribe that only uses the concepts "one", "two" and "many" what the base of the natural logarithms is.

Because you probably don't ask religious questions but that won't stop them banging on about blind faith, how you can be saved from sin and all your answers are in the bible.

Because they are very narrow-minded and have been brainwashed into believing just one way - their way is the right way and there is no other way. If you don't believe their way you're doomed to hellfire and perdition - that's pretty petty and narrow-minded.
