This question refers to the constant insinuation that Wicca=Devil worship, despite the fact they do not provide acurate evidence to support it.

I really hate when people assume that Wicca is Satanic. It is in no way Satanic. Why do they think that? Is it the fact that the God is Horned? So big deal? Usually the accusators on this matter are Christians. Well the fact is the religions are closer than you think. Christianities second biggest rule is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and Wicca's biggest rule is "And Harm ye none, do what ye will" In Christianity Mary gives birth to Jesus who in turn dies for our sins. Jesus and God are the same person. In Wicca the Goddess is impreganted with the God, by the God (look the father and son are the same person!) Who dies, and in dying brings all the lost souls to the Summerlands (aka heaven). Also some may argue "well the bible says not to use magic!" Well a spell is what words chanted repeatedly usually used to concentrate some kind of energy or purpose into a substance. Well guess what chanting and praying are the same things- and I happen to know that plenty of bishops and the pope chant over water to infuse holiness into it. So any christian who says magic or wicca is Satanic are in turn condemning their own religion.

Hmm sword/lord has yet to point out any evidence between wicca and satan.
I have to laugh at the absurdity of some of these answers. I wish you luck with this question as nobody will ever be able to prove that pagans or wiccans worship satan.

Haha how can you worship something that doesn't exist ?

The Wicca religion is actually far older than the concept of Satan. And beside Satan is a Hebrew word that quite simply translates to opponent. Most people are far to gullible and swallow the main stream misinformation that is fed to them!

Oh for goodness sake, there is no Satan in Wicca!! We do not believe in this Christian creation. Point blank. Those that choose to think otherwise are just ignorant.

P.S. Sorry but I don't believe in Jesus. Guess I am going to hell, oh wait that's another Christian creation.

There is not proof. It is the evil twin of the "God Gap" Anything a person can not explain "God did it!"

Anything they do not understand, that does not agree with their dogma and is what they think is "bad" then they say "Satan did it!"

It is all right there. Pretty black and white. You don't have to do much thinking either. Pretty convenient.

from a christian perspective, its not that wiccans are purposefully worhipping satan. the point is that theyre worshipping something that is not the one true God. the way idolotry works is that anything that isnt God shouldnt be worshipped in any way. part of this logic is that satan is a great deceiver. one of his biggest tricks is to get people to think that he doesnt even exist. he doesnt need direct worshippers, just people who are confused enough that they miss out on Jesus

What are you talking about? Wicca doesn't have anything to do with Satan.

To me Wicca = witchcraft,
witchcraft = communing with the "spirits," those spirits = demons who "work" of Satan. While I wouldn't call it Satan worshiping, per se, it certainly comes dangerously close in my book.

I love your Avatar.

There is no proof besides their little book.

Here's a link, it's an old question I put up, listing stuff about Pagans: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/;_ylt=Ao3QOaP9utJVv1G0Kd0OzusezKIX?qid=20060718153547AAjV61P
