Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. (1 Kings 20:35-36 NLT)

God gave us free will. What would it hurt if you asked Jesus Christ into your heart, and repent of your sins? Your life will change, but the devil will try and win you back. The thing is, once your name is in the Lambs book of Life, your in!!!! I still have my struggles, my valleys and peaks. God always pulls me thru the hard times!! If you chose not too, that is your free will, given to you by GOD!!

I don't necessarily ask questions to ruffle the feathers of people I disagree with. Sometimes, I just want to know what people honestly think. What makes them tick. The fundamentalists (who are supposed to be "loving" people) always respond like I spit in their face, or I'm a devil, or I'm specificly against their tradition.

Specificly, I can't understand the concept of God sending people to hell. The anger behind it sounds, frankly, like a human talking.

I welcome honest thoughts, if you have any. You can tell me your experience and belief. Or you can berate me, spout off cliches, and waste people's time. The choice is yours. WHATEVER YOUR OPINION - I RESPECT IT IF YOU SHOW MUTUAL RESPECT AND ACT ADULT. I don't mean any harm or hold animostiy.

The God who throws people in fire for ever and ever certainly acts like a lot more like some people I know - rather than the real God. Is it possible that the people who describe God as being so cruel are just revealing their secret wish to be cruel themself? Isn't it a coincidence that the people who concentrate the most on the faults of others are the quickest to believe the monster God theory?

If people find it in their heart to wish people to hell, maybe they belong there themself. For that matter, if the place exists, wouldn't that be GOD'S decision, as opposed to some joe-blow who thinks he knows everything?

And what lesson should we Christians draw from this lesson about making fun of God's anointed one?

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

Christians do not condemn anyone to hell. People choose where they will go, but I see that people keep saying that Christians condemn them to Hell??? Why.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I earlier went to a question from a guy who had a link to a rather hateful website regarding my own religion. I just don't get it. Wouldn't it be time better spent to try to convince people that his religion is right, rather than that someone else's is wrong? I don't really care if someone says they're in the one true religion, and everyone else is wrong, but what's the point of hatefully singling one out one to bash?

I remember seeing the name of a specific saint awhile back (I think he was European), and no, it wasn't St. Joseph.

I'd appreciate the answer to this question. Thanks!
