Yes, and in fact, I think this is the highest service you can perform to mankind. Everyone wants their good side to be acknowledged. And only those who are strong in their own spirituality can provide this.

Absolutely!! I try to see the good in everyone. At times, it can be a big challenge, like say with Hitler, or Stalin, or any of the other people who do really wrong things. But it isn't up to me to judge, thankfully. All I can do is live my life in a way that will reflect what I believe, and will show the kind of person that I am. If I have a hard time with someone, I find myself saying that they are also a child of God and need love, even if I'm not the one to show it to them.
Right now, I'm dealing with some problems in my family- a really bad divorce- and the girl is being a totally horrible person about it. She has said things about me to others, and has basically thrown all the love I ever gave her out the window. I have had a problem dealing with it and dealing with the emotions of betrayal and dishonesty. I ended up going to my mother-in-law, one of the most kind-hearted, loving people in this world that I know. She told me that I have attributes that she loves about me. It made me feel so much better. Now I can step back from the situation and say that the reason she is probably doing this is because she feels betrayed by me, I'm on her soon to be ex's side, so she has to find a way to hate us all. I just have to remember that she is a child of God and that no matter what, she will get what she deserves. All I can do is push those feelings of hate and betrayal aside and go on with life, without her in it.

I think that people who are attempting to be spiritual will have a much better chance of seeing the good in people. Their awareness will be heightened about it. But people are human.. and have feelings.. and are capable of losing all spirituality if angered or treated unjustly. I don't think people arrive and full spirituality. I think it's a path to work on every day.

Depends on the religion. Christianity as I understand it does look for the good in others- Remember the story of the woman who was taken in adultery...
As for what other religions teach, I don't really know. I feel I'm doing well to understand my own!

I don't necessarily believe there is good in everyone to find. If all humans are really good, how did we get people like Hitler, Hussein and Stalin?

Absolutely.
And people who are insecure in their spirituality [or sexuality] are among the hate-mongers who preach anti-gay hatred, bigotry and therefore violence. WWJD?

I agree. I can see evryone has good in them because everyone has God in them. I have learned that , when you look for God in a person, you don't look for God in their actions, but in their hearts, there you will find God is waiting patiently to be discovered.

There isn't good in everyone. Everyone has the potential to be good, but that doesn't mean everyone has goodness in them.

I don't know, I just know Hate what God Hate and Love what God Love. Dose God hate men? No, God love men that is why He come on the earth. But of course, we cannot love anyone by our natural life (flesh), but by Holy Spirit, He live in us, so we love ppl through Christ, not our own love, but Christ who live in us. and yes God is Love. Amen.
