An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your special holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination."

His friend replied, "Why don't you celebrate April first?"

we have been trying for three years and we really want this. I am a strong believer that everything in life happens for a reason and that there is some unknown reason why I am not pregnant. So explain to me why so many self proclaimed A-Theists scour the "Religion & Spirtuality" category of this forum, to respond to questions concerning theism? If you don't believe in God(s) just exactly what are you looking for in the "Religion & Spirituality" category?
BTW: My totally unscientific observation has been that the majority of these A-Theists only have negative comments for people who claim Christianity as their belief, and say nothing about any other belief system. In fact, one alleged A-Theist actually said that Hinduism and or Buddhism were akin to A-Theistic beliefs. (How does that work?)

I mean no disrespect to anyone but I was wondering if I'm off track here or maybe it's just me.

I noticed that most images I have seen of the wiccian religion show's cartoon images of very beauitful woman..very young and "gifted" if you will in a phycial way...very attractive to say the least.
However near my home a very large University at a recent Wiccan get together of some sort, (I don't have a clue) but these girls were far from attractive, most were very much over weight and not very pretty..(TO ME) and my friends. I was a little shocked because of the cartoon images..if you yahoo or google wiccan and click on images..you'll see what I mean.

If everyone was SECURE enough in THEMSELVES, their OWN spirtuality (spirituality not neccessarily meaning religion), their OWN thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc....the world would be a much nicer place to live. Religion tends to make things ugly. I don't mean individual people within any particular religious sect, but religion as a whole.

Why is it that christians complain that it says in the muslims quran to kill unbelievers, and yet it says the same thing in the christians bible? Hypocrital much? It says in the bible to stone unbelievers. And dont give me that garbage that its in the OT, because the ten commandments were in the OT too and you use that
