Titus 3:9
9) But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Then why all the foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings? are you not that concerned about your soul? Do you actually believe that God is some form of a toy or some kind of game that you can just play with, and say what you want? In
Matthew 7:21-23
21) Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23) And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.
The end time is near. Do you think that it is time to become more serious? I pray for you all. Amen

why must I be careful for the truth. This is not about being proud, I had to humble myself to get to this point. I am reading alot of answers and it sounds like in the beginning with the flood. Some people just will not take heed. It is not about forcing anything on anyone, I love you all or else I would not have written this. It is amazing the answers so far and the ones yet to come. I advise you all to be careful with this question. this is all about your souls. Amen.

Make sure you read and understand the question. The bible did not say you could not ask questions, but make sure the question concerns your soul. Not foolish question like if you had power to change the world the fact is you do not, so why ask ? That what the bible is saying.

You speak truth, brother, but we are called to contend for the faith and defend the Gospel, and so we shall. Let the heathens rage, let them clench their fists and shake it at heaven and us, it won't change things. The reason for their anger is that they know, deep in their hearts, their eternal destiny. They are prideful and arrogant and demand to be God. They have believed the lies of Satan and their hearts are hardened. They want a world without God and Christians, well, in the last seven years, they will get their wish. God will remove His children and step away from the world, then you will know what hell on earth really is. By the way, Is.60:16 refers to the nation of Israel and is a metaphor. Reading a verse in context really helps understanding a given passage.

What if I don't believe the bible? What if I believe that the bible are a bunch of stories tied together to appease goat herders 2000 years ago?

I mean it took until the 1600s for us to realize that the earth was not the centre of the universe, why would the writings, re-writings, translations and mistranslations of 2000 year old foreigners make any sence 2000 years later?

People at that time and that part of the world were goat hearders and had many questions like "where does the sun go" and "why am I here". All of these questions took away from their principle job, goat herding. Man came up with the "easy answers book" so people could forget about the questions since they were all answered there.

Go back to goat herding.

You are so right! Yet, you cannot "scold" people and expect them to change. You must love people into a change. Show them with example. Yes, it is time to get serious. Yet, God wants us to be happy, and to be confident of our future. Happiness and confidense brings a smile to a person's face, so why always live like doom and gloom is about to happen. Sure it is, but we don't have to live every moment in deep, dark depression and fear. RELAX. God will deal with the foolish.

The "end of time" being near is your opinion. People have been thinking it is almost the end of time since the beginning of time. You are a new generation - to think you are coming up with this by yourself is kind of cute. Remember - it also says we are not supposed to KNOW when the end of time is near so how are YOU so wise? Has God spoken to you because if he has, he told us a lie in the bible - about how we are not to KNOW.

The Bible was written so that people wouldn't question anything. That is why Christians are the mist unintelligent people here today. Why would you not want to ask and learn. You should always question everything. It's your right as person.

Paul instructs us to search the scriptures, and to be ready to give an answer in and out of season. to be a workman approved of by God....I don't think that God would want us to come to him without questions, nonbelievers sometimes need to be shown that God is believeable and trustworthy
it's true that some people are just trying to stir the pot, but people do have Questions about matters of faith, and we would be ready and willing to give proper responses to their questions.

I've never noticed that passage from Titus. What does that say about Matt 1?

I don't worry about my soul and I don't need your prayers. I will pray for your mislead soul, though.

I think that if you believe that you will be condemned for such trivial things than you are a fool!
