I say, if it doesn't fit on one screen, I'm not going to bother reading it.

(please note copy/pasters, you will not get 10 pts. here)

Much like a book, I stop reading when I lose interest.

a couple of sentences. i don't want all the details just a general idea behind the question will suffice.

I was just wondering though if you were referring to the marathon question that competes with the longest Harry Potter book ever written by ID elizabeth g : Read this or Else? Yeah I couldn't believe how long that was it must have taken this person the last hour to write all that.

If its an interesting answer i'll read it. Some of the copy/pasters are annoying though.

Fits on the screen is about the longest. Depends on the nature of the question, though. Sometimes Q's are too complicated to answer shortly.

I will stop reading sermons as soon as I see they are sermons... no matter how long they are.

Agreed. I'm one of these people that look for the short questions and only read short answers.

Though when I ask a question, I liked detailed answers - so when people ask serious questions, I do give rather long responses in order to help them out.

For me it depends on how it is written. Some ppl are really great writers, so a few paragraphs go by quickly. Other times I get a few sentences in, and know the answer is overly complex or I'm just waisting my time.

If it looks like the answer was actually written and not pasted and I am interested in the subject, I will read it regardless of length. If it's a clear cut/paste, I won't even give it a second look.

let's see the longest question I'll ever read, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........
maybe any thing that will fit the screen and on the side there will only be a very very very very very very very very small blue scrolling bar.......... kinda like my text messages i send, they're about several pages long, usually the phone will say that there is no more room left for the message.... Of course now i don't text my good for nothing friends, right now we're in a big feud cuz they are denying that they gave my phone number out, and now my parents are in it..... my dad actually hung up on some asshole cuz he wanted to talk to me..... My dad didn't really have a reason to.......
hey while I'm at it, let's hear my life story.... no? oh well.........
back to your question, the longest answer i'll ever read...... i don't know, hey wait, i think i've seen you on this page before... you asked sumthin about sociologists being pissed about some episode.... you chose me for best answer (with another name thingy) haha cuz i spelled religiosly wrong or sumthin like that.... another person i see on here, i think her name is " I Love Joel Madden" she's kinda annoying...... She reminds me of me.... don't ya hate people that remind you of yourself??? i sure as hell do!!!! damn i'm bored...... i love getting best answers don't you??? i never ask questions, i try to conserve my points..... lalalalala.......
have ya noticed i can ramble on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on???????????
blah blah blah blah blah blah

I've just agreed to read a short story, but that was a question. Does that count?

I read almost any length answer, (or question,) as long as it stays entertaining and uses the English language within reasonable limits of propriety.

It really depends on the question being asked. If it's an interesting question that merits a longer answer then I will. But if it's a stupid question then chances are the answer's stupid too, so I don't bother.
