first book. small one at that but, I know I am suppose to write it. I guess I feel a little inadequate and unsure of my abilities as a writer. christian book

Why are you supposed to write it? If isn't for yourself, it is to help others- I would think so. #1 forget about yourself-- who is your audience? Believers, Non Believers. What are you trying to accomplish? What are your inadequacies and abilities? Know them discover them, and then find others who can fill in the gaps. I am writing a book right now that is quite unique and has been a good learning process. Do some exercises, short stories, ask people about themselves, their lives. The best things to write about is that which you know and then it is easy. If you know someone else who is more exciting or boring explore them, let them write for you. In the end it is all just words, it is the relationships you form in the process.

If you feel that you are supposed to write this book, then by all means, sit down at your computer and start writing it. Don't worry about feeling inadequate or unsure of your abilities as a writer... just sit down and start writing, and the creative energy will flow through you. If it is a Christian book of inspirational thought, then allow that inspirational thought to flow through you as you write. It's as simple as that.

You never know till you try. Sit down and write what comes to mind. Forget about editing, changing grammatical errors etc until you finish writing. Then you can go back and read through what you've written and make necessary changes.

Yeah, no matter the subject I strongly recommend a course in remedial writing and composition. Maybe if you could write a sentence, people could understand you more.

.Writing isn't as easy as most people think it is. If you have real convictions, new ways of thinking, and a great editor your book will be at least mediocre
