An atheist complained to a Christian friend, "You Christians have your special holidays, such as Christmas and Easter. Jews celebrate their national holidays, such as Passover and Yom Kippur. But we atheists have no recognized national holidays. It's unfair discrimination."

I thought that was a very funny joke.
Why is it when someone posts a joke that makes fun of some religion, everybody laughs? I've laughed at some of those jokes, even the ones that poke fun at my own faith (as long as they aren't too extremely cruel). Don't atheists have a sense of humor?

hmmmm--perhaps an open mind towards all points of view might be a bit more enlightened. in my experience a humanist/atheist is alot safer for the planet than a zealous fundamentalist, nicht wahr?
