Love of Truth... :) I am also a vegan (alkalarian in fact), I practice yoga and zen meditation daily, and I am quite a balanced and "spiritual" person. I'm also quite happy most of the time, and fun to be around, as I tend to make jokes about just about everything I see, as absurdity is all around us. I assure you I am not suffering. I think life is hilarious. I just think it's a shame that so many people take themselves and their religions so seriously that they're willing to abuse and/or kill other people because they disagree. I just thought you'd like to know. :)

I hope you are not as nihilistic as your sarcasm about religion. If so you are suffering greatly. Know there are reasonable paths that include a higher power. If this turns you off just concentrate on the aspects of spirituality that help the self to actualize, i.e. yoga, meditation, showing compassion, etc. As you raise your consciousness you should be able to sense reality more accurately. It seems you put over-emphasis on the mind, which I agree can prove nothing more than you think therefore you are. Or as a friend of mine reminds me periodically, 'No, you think, therefor you have thought.'
