DVC on another question:
"I would not vote for ANY ATHEIST for anything. Not even a janitor
in a subway toilet..
If you are not responsible enough to go into the Military and help to protect your rights you should not have any rights.
You can not even get a good job if it is known that you are an atheist.
I personally would not protect you from a dog catcher. "

Atheists can't get a job? Why am I at work then?? Screw this I'm leaving.

Just so you are all clear. I didn't say this. Sometimes I do this and people don't get it.

That dude must be having banana withdrawals.

There are plenty of atheists in the military. Hope that when he needs medical attention, he doesn't go asking about how many doctors are atheists/agnostics.

The person who wrote that question is a shining example of why people are turned off when somebody says they are a Christian. These people are intolerant and ignorant but I'm sure not in the majority, they just make it tougher on true believers of the faith.

It's certainly an example of Christian ignorance. There are lots of military atheists.

And just because he would not hire an atheist for a good job, doesn't mean that other people haven't.

I think you should take the rest of the day off. :-)

Oh, no!!
An atheist, whining about being persecuted????
I thought that was strictly the perogative of religious people..particularly Christians!!
Listen, Sweetie, if you're gonna play on Yahoo, you're gonna need to develop a tuffer hide.

That's a good one.

Clearly summarizes most theist's bigotry and naturally intolerant nature.

It's also funny that atheists are usually more educated and therefore get better paying jobs than the typical theist.

And what is he talking about with the military? There is an organization Atheist in Foxholes, thousands of members.

Just because someone does not believe in God does not make
him/her unpatriotic nor immoral. Accept that others don't share
your beliefs and get your head out of your *** so I can shove my
foot in it. I'm a Christian(contrary to my language) and people
like you are why we are looked at so negatively.

Here's another exemplary christian comment for ya:

"Stop whining. You can get married if you want. One day Prince Charming will come along...oh, your lesbian? I just noticed that this question was posted in the gay section. In that case, you are **** out of luck."

Hmm funny, I've never seen religion profiling during the hiring process. Who the hell said that crap?
What are they gonna start taking out god-ometers during interviews now?
