Hello, this is a legitimate inquiry with those who are involved in Scientology.

Is Scientology, for you, a religious belief (including the doctrine of Xenu's destruction of countless beings, creating chatoic souls on the planet that take the form of engrams).

Or is Scientology more of a lifestyle practice for you (things such as proper nutrition, silent childhood practices, abstinence from certain pharmaceuticals)?

I am very interested and very curious. Please no mockey or commentary on whether or not Scientology is legitimate.

i was watching the news today and it said something about these conscientour objectors. im all for the first amendment and freedom of religion but lately its seemed that religion is above the law. i was wondering which religion doesnt allow its members to go to war? and how the government would know if they are really from that religion and not just saying that so they dont have to go to war. any thoughts?

I'm curious, whenever I read fiction books by Christian authors that reference the antichrist (mostly the Left Behind series, but there are others), he is always coming out of Europe. It doesn't so much say the country specifically, and I don't believe the Bible gives any real reference to which specific country he'll come from, but somewhere along the lines these authors are getting the idea that he'll be of European descent. Can someone explain why, I would like the scripture(s) they are using to arrive at the conclusion that he'll be European.

The Seriousness of Sin
Hopefully, this chapter will allow God to bring some new revelations to each one of us about sin. First, we need to take sin serious and realize how close we are to it! We take sin to lightly in a few of different ways. Most can be broken down into three basic excuses.
- It's not a "BIG" sin
Some might have the attitude that because their sin is not a "big" sin like the opening story of adultery, they can just continue in it.
- Everyone sins
Others might accept sin (even the"big") because everyone sins, and this is just their sin of choice. They're good in other areas.
- Uncontrollable circumstances
Some might believe they can continue in sin even though they know it's sin, because of the bad circumstances surrounding them.
We can justify anything - we might even be able to take some scripture out of context to back it up! But don't be fooled, sin is serious! It separates us from God. No matter how big or little, no matter how many others are sinning, and no matter how you can justify it, it still separates us from God. Who wants to be separate from God? We would never choose to walk through life, be married, have kids, go to work, or even minister to others WITHOUT God, but that's exactly what we do. On top of that, Jesus died so that we can be forgiven of our sin and once again be with God. So when we continue to sin in disobedience it's a slap in the face to Jesus, because we are rejecting His sacrifice. We can fool ourselves, but not God.

Everytime I see someone refer to being gay, Some (I said some, not all) christians refer to them as sinners and judge them and tell them they should repent, change their ways.. yada yada. Then they spout that yes, you are a sinner and chose to sin.. That tells me that are not informed and only talking refering to what they have learned and never spoke to someone that is gay. It is not a choice and we were born this way. I had a great father and mother, neither neglected me and I was close to my father and mother alike.. I just always knew. They also start refering to a passage in the Bible. The Bible is an interpretation. Some of the interpretations have been askewed from personal beliefs and are not correct. Like the interpretations of the role of women and how they should be treated. So before you judge someone.. get to know someone that is gay and talk to them, you will see if you are a person of faith that they are just like you.. human.

I am going to a women's health doctor for a well check up today, and I am a little nervous. Will you all please pray for me that everything will go smoothly and that everything will be alright. I've never enjoyed doctor's visits and I could really use God's help. I've been praying all morning about it and I would like to ask that my brothers and sister's in Christ pray w/ me on this.
Specifically, I don't want anything to be found wrong, I don' want to be nervous, and that it will be quick and painless. Thank you all and God Bless!!

It seems that when ever I talk to an atheist about my beliefe (even if it was they who started the conversation) they usually wind up telling me that I am closed minded (and becoming very emotional) simply because I don't "admit" that there is no way for me to prove to them that there is a God. Why should I have to prove any thing?

so my question is
dont u think that islam is the right religion as a muslim give his that easy
i know they kill and god doesnt want us to kill but may be there is something we cant understand we christians
dont tell me that the profit mohammed spread his words by war and that he said that when the judgment day will come the big war between muslims and jews will start and that even the trees will say to the muslims that there is a jew hiding beside it

Before I explain, let me make the prediction that "Bob will live forever."

Have you ever heard of a contemporary external source? For example, all the prophecy nonsense. Just because it says it in one book in the beginning of the bible and it comes true in a later book of the bible, doesn't mean that it has been proven true. Why is there no secondary source proving that these things actually happened?

Bob will live forever! (Now that's proof.)
