The Bible states that there is one kind of Christian and they are identified in Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28 and I Peter 4:16. That doesn't include any denominations of Christianity from Jehovah's Witnesses to Catholics (Matthew 23 refutes much of Catholism), Methodists to Mormans and Baptists to Seventh Day Adventists.
The next difference is that in Christianity the central belief is that Jesus died and on the third day resurrected and was God in the flesh. Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah but rather a blasphemer which why he was crucified (by fellow Jews).
Islam is a different thing all together. They also do not believe in Jesus as God in the flesh but simply a prophet. So I ask you that if Jesus was and is God in the flesh than would you not say that people are praying to different gods? ABSOLUTELY!!

Christianity has countless denominations. Methodist, is one in all those denominations. they believe straightforward Biblical Christianity changed by certain techniques. Ask someone on the faculty for what's named a truth of religion or truth of idea. it's going to make sparkling the certain techniques that Methodists embody. Catholic's are slightly diverse. Methodists are part of what's named Protestant Christianity. What they protest is the Catholic Christianity. desire that permits.

Essentially, it is various differences on Jesus as messiah.
While the Jewish faith is waiting for a messiah as king, Christianity, holds that Jesus fulfilled prophecy, and is messiah.
In break downs from there, It boils down to different understandings of various scriptures and Ordinances. While the belief that Jesus died and resurrected to pay for sins, is the absolute core of all christian faiths, observations of various ordinances differ. From the controlled environ of the Catholic Church, with rigid attention to practices and celebrations, to say, Pentecostals and non-denominationalist freer observances, all other fit in the middle the same.
It's like baking biscuits, the ingredients are the same but the mix is a little different.

Catholicism translates to "universal". It is the Christian Church that Our Lord founded. It teaches the same exact doctrines that it did when He left the Church in the hands of the apostles. Our papacy traces back to St. Peter. Sadly, many that call themselves "Catholic" today are not. True Catholics attend the latin mass and follow pre-vatican2 teachings.
Jews deny Our Lord's divinity. When they crucified Him, they called down the guilt of His Blood down on their people. They are still waiting for the "savior". Unless they convert, there is no way they can reach heaven.
Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans, Episcopals, Anglicans, and pretty much all other "Christian" religions are Protestants, meaning they protested the Catholic Church. Christian literally translates to Catholic. It is the same. Protestants therefore are not Christians. In order to be a Christian, you must follow Christ and His teachings which only the traditional Catholic Church maintains. Because they do not follow Christ's teachings, Protestants are not Christians and therefore also cannot obtain heaven unless they convert. All Protestant religions where started by men, not by God. Only the Catholic faith was started by God.
Christ said "Unless you eat of My Flesh and drink of My Blood, you shall not have life everlasting in you." Only the Catholic Church does this. Only there can you eat of His Flesh and drink of His Blood. Protestants say this was symbolic only, but it was not because most of His followers then left Him saying "This is a hard saying..." He did not say, "Wait! I only meant it symbollically!" No. He meant it. He then turned to His apostles and said, "will you leave me too?" They did not. Because only the Catholic Church accepts this doctrine.
