I think it depends on how many questions you ask, but I do get e-mails telling me they will pray for me or help me see the light of Jesus (to which I usually respond “that would be great because the light in my fridge is out") I think it is there way of saying f*** off because if they really said it that would be mighty un-Christian of them. Oh and I did have this creepy old guy bug me for a while trying to convert me with the bonus of some online dating. *Shudder*

IF I were an atheist, and IF there have been a hell, and IF I arrived there for some ridiculous reason, the in common words vast difference in my body of ideas in the route of those who tried to "warn" me should be that i'd then know they were proper, rather of questioning that they were self-deluded. Which, even as a Christian, i think they are. completely.

On here- well it is to be expected.
In real life- never. If it did well, that would be a whole can of worms I would not be afraid to spill.
I was worried when I had my daughter if family members would pressure me to baptize her. They never did, nor has anyone asked me. I would tell them the truth and so would my husband. I think they know better than to start those types of issues.
BTW I am agnostic not atheist, I do not deny the possible existence of a god, but am VERY against organized religion for the most part.

I participate on a couple of atheist oriented web forums....so, indirectly at least 20 times per day. Directly, depends on the day but usually once or twice, sometimes none.
oh...btw...don't you know that by not accepting the gift of christ you will burn in hell for all eternity.

Not often, actually. I choose the people around whom I spend my time, and they usually don't include people who will tell me I'm going to hell. If I'm in a situation in which I might be exposed to people more willing to tell me about that, then I don't mention anything about religion unless I actually feel like discussing it with someone who actually knows how to argue.
Basically, I don't go looking for confrontation.

Hey Jim, can you add an addendum of how many come on here and open themselves up to being told this? I'd like to know, outside of Yahoo answers, how often this "torturous and totally evil" event happens.

If I lived on a beach a tsunami was headed for and I had 20 people run to me and say "don't stay! You'll get killed! Come with us! We'll show you the way to safety!" I might listen...
that's all I have to say.
