As a Jew, I find it rather insulting (and silly) when christians tell me "well, we worship the same god" .

We do NOT worship the same god.

Firstly, our G-d is not physical, nor is he some sort of 3-in-1 god.
Secondly, it would still be different since *your* god acts differently from ours, and since the only way to differentiate the non-physical is through its personalities or actions, then we must conclude that they're different.

for example,
My G-d isn't the type to just take back what He said and replace it with other stuff. If G-d said that jews need to be circumcised, then He meant it! If He said that the sabbath is on saturday, then He isn't pushing it off to sunday. MY G-D wants saturday!
My G-d doesn't desire some guy get killed to magically wipe away my lifetime history of evil. That is not something MY G-d would do. Maybe yours; not mine.

The muslim god is probably closer to us than your god.

I'm guilty of it too and I'm a Christian, and I'm not proud of it... over the years it has turned into softer words for example:

Jesus= jeaz, jee, jee willicurs

God= gosh, golly,goo gosh

But still many use other curse words with the name of God as well. My question is how has this become so easy to do over the years? Why do people use it so often?we don't curse hitler, the devil, or anything else, but many curse God... the one who loved the whole world so much that He sent His Son into the world to die and to save mankind.

It just occured to me how appolling it is to do such a thing. Even ancient people did it. It states in the Ten Commandments, you shall not take the name of the Lord in vain.

Yet we, in our society, do it all of the time... it is disrespectfull, no one curses other religions, no one says "O my Budda".

How did this happen over time to be so commonplace?

The only religion that I have ever found that is easy to follow and has a God who loves us all unconditionally even if we don't believe in him or are gay or have sex outside of marriage or any of the other things that many people find hard not to do because either that just is who they are or because trying not to do it is just to hard.

I'm not saying faith in Giggles the Fairy doesn't have any rules.Just a lot less and he is the only God who never was a jealous God or a venegful God or a murderous God or a spiteful God.Unconditional love is just that, unconditional.That is why faith in Giggles is the ONLY way to go!

Everynight when I turn on the news, I hear about Muslims beheading people, planting bombs, abducting, shooting and murdering people (or plotting to do so) in the name of their god Allah. Whether it is here at home, or in Canada, Australia, Russia, India, Indonesia, etc.

Im not a feminist or anything........but i was wondering...... the Church has always held women responsible of the problems of the world.......Eve perhaps condemned women forever by eating the apple........ but i was wondering........isn't it possible that our creator is a woman??........ i mean think of the earth.......its life sustaining and no matter which language you speak, it is always reffered in the feminine..... Even early pagans believed that women infact are sacred as the have the mystical quality to create life and thus worshipped the 'sacred feminine'....... so, it almost feels as if our creator is more likely a female than a male...... what say??
