Hey Guys.......
Im not a feminist or anything........but i was wondering...... the Church has always held women responsible of the problems of the world.......Eve perhaps condemned women forever by eating the apple........ but i was wondering........isn't it possible that our creator is a woman??........ i mean think of the earth.......its life sustaining and no matter which language you speak, it is always reffered in the feminine..... Even early pagans believed that women infact are sacred as the have the mystical quality to create life and thus worshipped the 'sacred feminine'....... so, it almost feels as if our creator is more likely a female than a male...... what say??

God DOES NOT EXIST.

However, IF God were to exist, it would actually make more sense that she would be female......simply look at life on this planet. Only the female of the species gives birth, creates life. Why would a God be any different??

Besides, if I was going to believe anything was all loving, it would be a woman. But all knowing....thats be a guy....so maybe God is really a hermaphrodite?

The Catholic Church likes to think that everything in charge is male... not true.

Women are sacred and the creators of life. Earth and water are feminine, and laso the bearers of life. It only stands to reason that deity is female. in my beliefs, deity has female and male faces. We say the Goddess and the God.

The patriatchial craziness is afraid of women's mysteries and the power of the sacred feminine. That is why they seek to oppress and suppress it.

Ma'am, you have made a beautiful point. However, there is a theological reason the Earth is always reffered to as "she". In reference to Biblical text, all things of GOD or a man are reffered to in a female tense.

For instance, the stars and moon are reffered to as "she", because they are created by GOD. Knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and various other virtues are reffered to as "she", (in the books of Psalms and Proverbs) also because they are of GOD.

Another example would be Israel, (who's original name was Jacob, who is the son of Isaac, who is the son of Abraham). Israel is the father of the nation Israel, (obviously). The nation of Israel is reffered to as a "she", because it is of the man Israel.

It is true, the Earth is beautiful. However, the fact that it is a "she" only reminds us that the Earth is not a goddess, but a creation of the only true GOD, Christ Jesus.

I believe that He is male, but think about this. When God looked around the garden, before he made Eve, he said that it was not all good, so he made Eve as a finishing touch of the universe. You may as well say he saved the best for last.

G-d is All That Is which includes both male and female, electric and magnetic energies which interact to manifest and sustain a Loving Creation. Our worlds are born from the orgastic Love-Light of Father-Mother-God. Enjoy!

God is a spirit, he is either male or female.

You have to remember that when Eve ate the fruit her eyes where not open yet, but when Adan ate, that is when the disobedience came, cause God use to speak face to face to Adam, not to Eve. Everything Eve knew was because Adan was teaching her. So the one who really disobey God was Adam. Because of one man that fall, one man have to come and die for all us and save what Adam lost.

God is neither male nor female in the human sense being spirit rather than physical tissue. Also God possesses qualities which are usually considered male (eg warlike) and female (eg compassion) as well as gender-free (eg a loving parent).
However, in the scriptures God chooses to reveal himself as male so who am I to argue with The Almighty?

In hinduism, GOD is manifest in both forms. God is worshipped
in both forms. Man and woman.

Therefore, for hindus, and I was born as one, there is no question of GOD being a woman or not.

The religion is based on man and woman. I do not know what to say about the other religions as they are mostly male oriented.

God created Adam in his own image. Eve was created from Adam's rib. so no God is a Man. I'm not sexist but that is what the Bible says.

NO. God created man in his own image.
GENESIS 1:27
27) So god created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Look at the answer below me and understand why it is not permitted for women to teach or preach. If God created man in his own image, not her own, then God's image must be of man.
REVELATION 22:3,4
3) And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4) And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Now there was alot of him's and his's mentioned in those two scriptures. Shall serve Him, shall see His face, and His name.
I pray for you in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen
