Everynight when I turn on the news, I hear about Muslims beheading people, planting bombs, abducting, shooting and murdering people (or plotting to do so) in the name of their god Allah. Whether it is here at home, or in Canada, Australia, Russia, India, Indonesia, etc.

They want to bring the entire world under Muslim law. The real trouble is that even if they manage to do this, the violence will only escalate further. There is so much in-fighting between their factions that they have managed to become the bloodiest society on earth.

Islam is a good religion, and I have heard those words from Muslims and non Muslims alike. I myself am not a Muslim, but understand that just because bin laden and his dogs attack people it does not mean that we can generalize. I once thought the same thing about Muslims, until I opened my eyes to realize that I was being brainwashed by the media. My mind changed when I was watching an Arabic channel on cable and noticed that they were just like us...I was blown away by that. I think the media plays a stereotypical image of Muslims..ie: out in the dessert, women covered up and beaten, husbands are drunk etc...when in reality this is not so (specially the drunk thing since they don't drink). Every religion is stereotyped and we must break through this stereotyping.

What i dont understand is why people blame religion on the act of few people. When people beat their wife or kill their own kids and there is gang shooting everyday and several drug problems in everyday life people dont go and blame it on the religion then why on Muslims? When ever something happens people go and blame the religion instead of the people?
And yeah people all over the world wont be doing this without a reason their is always another part of the story which ofcourse media doesn't show. Try to realize and understand what people might be going through what suffering other people might be giving the that would persuade them to take these action. Think think you might stop other criticizing other peoples religion and focus on the people themselves.

A better question is why does any religous group kill in the name of their respective God. Even though I am christian, one cannot forget the fact that many christians have killed in the past in the name of our God. It is lack of enlightenment, and true knowing of what love is. Most of these people were born and raised being told to hate, and given religion as an excuse for persecution. There are many peaceful, loving muslims that would not harm anyone. Unfortunely for them, these other muslims cause them much persecutions and hardships.

It is Muslim terrorists who kill in the name of Allah. Ordinary Muslims have ordinary reasons for killing just like everyone else. You know--love--greed--drugs--or maybe just because they are pissed off.
You can substitute the word 'fanatic' for 'terrorist'.
The seed of fanaticism is in all religions--right now it is showing up as Muslim terrorists.

some extremist goes beyond and use the name of Allah to kill others..its not Islam ask them ot do it..its the closedminded people have tarnished the good name of Islam. not all muslim kills..
other religions too have their own extremist and terrorist but the western media did not revealing the truth..

Your ears could well hear about the killings of innocent people like Palestine, Afganistan, Iraq,(whom they dont own even a 'gazzele' helicopter armed or unarmed) .
