Where did God come from!? I just asked this and got answers like "don't ask that!", "no-one really knows", "we can't understand it", plus the usual rediculous answers like "god always was", or "god is the uncaused cause", or "you have to have faith". You think you're so smart and you can't even answer this simple question!!!!!???

...still on my way to Galveston. (I bet you wish I was already there)

(for those who didn't get it the first time, look up the word "parody")

It seems that Adam and Eve already knew the difference between right and wrong. They had already resolved in their hearts to disobey God before they had actually touched the tree. They knew they were wrong. So what were the trees?

And, if on the other hand he did (as some have suggested, even before the Da Vinci Code) why does this notion so upset religious people?

After all the angel visitations and announcements from the Holy Spirit, one would think that the strongest backers and believers of Jesus would be his family.

I know that sounds like a set-up, it's not.
I really want to know how faith makes you feel.
I don't want to hear the same rhetoric I've always heard, or Bible quotes.
If I'm right about this, faith comes from within, not from a book.
Tell me how YOU feel, and how I can feel the same way.
I can't hear the voice of God, so the only one I can hear is you.

The names of God reveal his character and nature. In God's dealings with us as human beings he often revealed an aspect of himself that we could relate to in our everyday lives. For instance he saw how troubling and anxious our lives would often seem to us so he let us know that he is Jehovah - Shalom, the Lord our Peace. He wants us to understand his names so we will understand HIM.

If you can't tell me where God came from?

Do you think this is a reasonable guideline to debate here?

This nice girl here asked a perfectly normal series of questions.

She asked evolutionist to explain her how evolution started. And all people started to explain evolution to her, nobody just told her that God started everything :(

Of course she gets angry! If she asks evolutionist to explain evolution, why can't evolutionist than be so nice to say they are all wrong??

Why are we all so mean?

I keep reading people say to atheists/evolutionists where did the energy and matter come from in the universe?

I of course don't have a credible scientific response.

But my question is this. What happens to theism when there is a credible scientific answer? One that eliminates the need for a God to have been the start of the universe? Does this mean that you would believe in God contingent upon there not being an answer, and what happens to the faith when there is such an answer?

It's just a good question. I know a few girls that are Catholic and made the abortion choice. It makes no sense to me. I am pro choice and I don't believe in the Easter God. But I'm just curious to see what people think. :)

The Supreme Court currently posesses the ability to rule popular beliefs as religion or cult. Scientology has been passed as a "bona fide" religion, when it was only established about 50 years ago, when its founder Ron L. Hubbard began writing books on his theories. In the meantime, the Pagan beliefs, which have been around longer than Christianity, are still considered cults. Each time they have gone to the Supreme Court arguing their case, they are denied. Should the Supreme Court be able to approve some as true religions while branding others as cults? Wasn't this country established on the idea of freedom of religion?

So god created the universe. So who created god? I keep asking this question and keep getting rediculous answers like 'no-one', or 'god always existed'. Can't someone give a REAL answer?

I asked where evolution started and I got answers like "It started with chemicals"--so I asked "where did those chemicals come from?" and nobody could answer. They didn't know. I got tons of "I'm not sure" answers...anyone wanna give it a shot now? If you say "the big bang" started it, then who started "the big bang"? By the way, nobody created God--He has always been around and always will be.
