Mormonism was started by a wanted criminal named joseph smith,he had been arrested for several petty crimes including glass gazing, which is trying to divinate by looking at a crystal ball.
The whole of this cult is based on a fictitious novel written by a catholic bishop I think it was a bishop, but the book was called,"The book of Moroni". Thier version of the bible is so full of holes that you could sift sand through it. Stay away from it. This is a cult that used to cut the throats of unruly children and toss them into a pit in the wasatch mountains.

A Mormon is a member of the LDS Church. (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) They are primarily Christians that also believe that there was another profit named Joseph Smith and that Jesus visited the Native Americans.

I am not Mormon, but I live in Utah and am surrounded by them. They are very good neighbors and generally very good people.

Mormon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

For other uses, see Mormon (disambiguation).
Mormon is a colloquial term used to refer specifically to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in some contexts to members of smaller denominations within the Latter Day Saint movement. The term is derived from the name of The Book of Mormon, one of the faith's four books of scripture. The book, in turn, derives its name from Mormon, one of the primary prophets described therein...

For 30 years they tried to get me into that LDS stuff... I listened attentativly... I read all that they had me read... some of it actualy looks good as far as the family issues and such... But I could find nothing... NOTHING... but emptiness to support their misguided faith... I was very anti bible thumper for all those years as well... but even I could see that the Christian Faith had much more of substance to their Faith. It took me 40 years to finaly come to God in The Way He proscribes....
Thank God I was not decieved by those of the mormon cult... my position on the mormons was fixed long before I became one ot The Christian Faith....

LDS... Lost and Deceived of Satan

Stay far far away from them... they are a man created cult and nothing more... but they are good at what they do... decieving the gullable... with satans urging

the main strike against mormon's is the book of mormon. God says in the bible, "this is my word, let no one ad to it or take away from it." obviously adding the book of mormon is adding to what God said.

then there are the prophecies of Joseph Smith. time dated that never came to pass. in the old testament the penalty for false prophecies is stoning.

finally there is Joseph Smith himself. any religion which requires an equal belief in any man of this Earth to assure salvation is 100% wrong. if it weren't for the fact that we believe Jesus was born of a virgin, Jesus himself wouldn't be worthy of being called a saviour or Messiah. the virgin birth is REQUIRED for Jesus to have any claims to being the saviour of man. everyone else is subject to the curse of Adam because we are the seed of man. Jospeh was born of a man and woman, not a virgin birth. you need not have ANY faith in him or what he says to be assured salvation in Christ.

Grandmaster: Yes, God did say that in the Book of Deuteronomy, but he seems to have seen it to be okay to keep adding to scripture because he was adding His words, not man's. The Book of Mormon is the Word of God.

The official title of the Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The nickname is "Mormon". Mormon was a prophet of God who helped to bring forth "The Book of Mormon". For more info be sure to go to a good source (like www.lds.org = official home page of the Church). But here are some of our basic beliefs: THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541
1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of chands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal gglory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

An annoying nuisance who likes to pay you a visit just as you're sitting down to supper so he can tell you why you're going to Hell if you don't listen to him and get baptized into his cult of secret rituals and teenage sexual abuse.
