My grandmother told me something I found to be true: "Religion is a beautiful thing when you use it to control yourself. It get's ugly when you use it to control others".

I think it's one of those sayings that are true in many ways. Applied to your question, I think it can mean that no matter what is going on around you, or what others are doing, it does not make you waiver, nor does it steal your joy.

Terrorism and wars are tragic things, but they are not something new. Even on the school playgrounds there are acts of war and terror. It's part of humanity.

But so is resilience. Just like little acts of terror ( kids heckling other kids), big acts of terror are about people trying to affect others, because they lack this inner resolve, inner peace and "self-control" in themselves. If you let them affect you in that way, then they win (I think even they ultimately lose).

They can affect our world, because We all share it, but they should never be able to touch your inner world. That's yours, and yours only. This is where your peace abides, and no one can take it from you.

God Bless. :-)

I find happiness everyday. I don't think there has ever been age where war and terrorism in some form was not around. Just live your life day by day and try not to fret about war. Unless it knocks on your door. Then thats a different story!

You have to find happiness within.....and share good times and love with your family and friends. Praying a lot helps for us. I try not to get depressed about the situation our world is in right now. Our country has experienced war, terrorism, poverty, etc. before, and still we have survived and kept on living. Thanks to God..........!

Focus on other things such as family or a hobby and don't read much from the media. Most of us are not directly affected by these events.
