I'm agnostic, and I believe that once you die, you are then reborn again, and if you were a good person in that past life, you are born into a better life, and things are better for you, but if you were a jerk, your next life is worse. Kind of like levels, if you fail it, aka, being a jerk, you are set back one lever. But this is just my opinion.

Now, if you are a firm believer in God and Jesus, please don't go off and tell me how I'm going to Hell, and how I should convert to whatever your religion is. I have spent many years trying to figure this out, and I am NOT changing my mind now.

I know i have been kinda on and off for a while, but it seems like the last few questions have more to do with sex than religion, or is it just me?

If there is a heaven, who will get in? An agnostic who has lived a moral life, never turning his back on those who needed help? A priest who is convicted of molesting of several young boys and accused by many more? An atheist whose life was spent providing food and medical care for hundreds of thousands of the world's poor? A preacher who extorts funds from his working-class congregation to make payments on his new Mercedes? A Christian politician who uses the Bible as a weapon against human rights?

1) Atheists don't ask themselves questions like:
do we need spirituality?
people in sufferance need to believe in something?
people alone or sick need to believe in something? Some choose to believe in God?
2) Some atheists become as ignorants and fanatical as religious fanatics.
3) They have lots of websites. Can we call them "places of faith"?
4) Pure atheism failed when was imposed by a country's political regime. Churches were destroyed but people still choosed to pray.

Thank you...( yes i am a free thinker, I challenge both religion and atheism)

I have a friend that believes in UFO's, truth be told I could care less.

So why do so many athesit go after Christians, I have noticed where I ride my horse that satanist spray paint upside down crosses...they ONLY go after Jesus...why? I've never seen anything like "Atheist suck" or "Down with budda" but they
only curse at the Lord Jesus...why?

I'm mean if God is like the Easter Bunny to them why bother?

Could it be something spritual here?

Please no fake stuff about persecution...a guy at worked complains (he's an athesit) to me that people say God-Bless you when he sneezes..that offends him he say's..LOL! right!

I'm a gay atheist, but I totally respect Christianity and their beliefs and everything. I mean, all my closest friends are Christian and I love and respect them.

But why does it seem like the radical right just wants to shove their beliefs down everyone's throats? Okay, you're christian and proud, I got it. Good for you, I mean that whole-heartedly. So why do my rights have to be taken away? I may be an atheist, but that doesn't mean I'm immoral or that I'm a bad person.

If you're a christian who is againt abortion or gay marriage, why?

We just want to live like everyone else. We just want the same rights. I love you guys, but it's getting harder and harder to respect you all when all of you are getting together just to make me a second-class citizen. I mean what am I supposed to think?

MAYBE God doesn't really exist and I devoted my entire life believing in him since I was 5. Maybe the Bibble was a fiction book just like the myths that the greeks wrote.

Maybe this is just a fantasy and it's just like believing in fairies as you atheist say.

But if having faith in him makes me a more spiritual, positive, happier and peaceful person even if he doesn't exist, then why you atheist don't respect this?

It hasn't been scientifically proved that God exist but it has been scientifically proved that the people who have faith in a higher power doesn't matter the religion or the God have a better meaning of life, are more peaceful, calm and optimistic in certain situations.

If Christianity benefits the life of others then why disturb their peace and leave them alone.
Not all Christians are people who want to force you into believe something you don't want to believe. I am this type of person and I am surprised by all the hatred some people have against us.

Always there are these question here and conversation elsewhere about why Christians blah blah and Science blah blah. Was is Copernicus who, discovering that the Earth was not at the center of the Universe caused this schism? Scientists were routinely denounce and even imprisoned as heretics when refuting scripture with scientific discovery. Could the church not instead have interpreted science and the work of God? Couldn't God have created these systems and laws which govern our reality? Or is the herecy in trying to understand what God has created?

As a child my parents had me do all the typical Catholic requirements (baptism, communion, etc). But, somewhere along the line I fell away from the church. God is still in my heart and I try to do his will everyday but, I guess I just have a problem with the Catholic religion. I have a 9 yr old daughter. My family and husband have been after me for years to get her baptized but, my heart is not in it. It has caused many fights. Now, I am pregnant again so the subject has come up again to get them both baptized. My husband's mother has tried to arrange the baptism but, the church said that the parents have to be the ones to do it. I told my husband if it is importnat to him he can arrange it but, he said that he wants me to handle it. I just can't see doing something just to appease others. I would feel like I was being fake. Please, someone give me some advise?

No body among you in the right sense of mind can deny that Science has not discovered many secrets about our planet and about our Universe ( atoms, cells, formation of storms ,Earthquakes,Birth of Stars etc) with growth in our intelligence their is a genral consensus that how very little we know about our Universe; many rare phenomenons cannot be explained by Scientists in a logical manner. This just goes to show that God who is the Creator of our Universe has a knowledge beyond our Comprehension, he does not need Humans or Church or any other medium to Transfer his message to the people of earth ,if Christ is the saviour then if God is seeing 70% of the people not believing it
he himself can verify it to billions of people on Earth(he does not need Churchmen to do it),he is merciful and cannot send billions of
people to hell just because they do not believe the messages of Jesus being carried out by churchmen who are humans.

Why is it that no one (in particular, Christians) on here seems to know that the U.S. government was NOT founded on religious principles. Are they all really THAT stupid? Or did they just never pay attention in school? I offer up three quotes that were answers to another question on here:

"Return to the Christian roots and morals that started this country(U.S.). "

"our country was based on Christians principals. it was great while it lasted."

"Some one has brought us this far...and i dont think it was the athiest thoughts."

GO READ A U.S. HISTORY BOOK!!!
